Will Abdullahi Yusuf Step-down and Take Care of His Liver?

Post by Kramer »

Since TFG will expired in 2009 and Abdullahi Yusuf get his wish to be called a president by a couple journalists, now will he go back to Mudug and tell them stories, how he become one of the best presidents of Somalia in league with Said Bare and Aden Cade!

Or will he take another reckless and dumb decision and stay as an ethiopian puppet, and say he was reelected, when actually, the only ppl voting for him, are his paid PMs!

But the guy wanted to be called president and he get his wish, what else does he want to accomplish, we know he didn't become president to build Somalia or bring progress, he become president, just for sake of being called president before he dies! So why not move on, and just let a real leader, who younger and educated, who can lead ppl give a chance!

Captain, So you can't even critize someone like Abdullahi Yusuf? this is the problem with Somalia, All his clan will come to his defense even if he is the worst person!

I'm critizing the whole TFG, Mohamed dheere, Bare Hiraale, and all those so called PMs

Democracy is not average people selecting average leaders. It is average people with the wisdom to select the best prepared.

Kramer, watch what you say before you get snatched by an A.Y. supporter and end up being his next organ donor.

He mentions Siad Bare and Aden Cade as being Somalia's best presidents but declines to mention Abdirashiish Ali Sharmarke; sometime it would be easier to understand people if they just said what is on their mind...Kramer, you sure you just dislike Abdullahi Yusuf?

Shilling I am sure he only forgot to mention the great Cabdirashiid.

But if I understand this correctly, are you likening Afbiijo to Mudane Cabdirashiid cali Sharmaake?

Abdirashid isn't well known, although I have tremendous respect for him, he was a president for a short period of time and he was killed by his own clansmen, he didn't make history!

1. Afbiijo is not in the list. You might as well include Cabdiwasim, Caydiid, Ali Mahdi and the assorted members of the Loser's Club.

Coming from an objective analysis, whether it is because he ruled for 21 years or not, clearly Siad Barre's legacy and his achievements, even just looking at the "good", outweigh the combined achievements of the others multiplied by infinity.

With respect to objectivity my list goes:

1. Mohammed Siad Barre
2. Abdirashiid Ali shermake
3. Aden Cadde

Aden Cadde in his tenure accomplished naught, and I mean naught. But he was a fair and decent man who was also the first modern African ruler to step down democratically.

Abdirashiid Ali Shermake tried to reform the country in order to make it an effective post-colonial African state but under is tenure, not necessarily because it his fault, Somalia became the most corrupt country in the world, over a hundred tribal parties came into existence, he failed to write the Somali script despite the determination by the academics, failed to lobby on behalf of the NFD, and failed to tackle Ethiopia's cross border raids into Somalia. Yet he tried and was also a fair and decent man.

Siad Barre is synonymous with modern Somalia, the good as well as the bad. That really says it all.
