Our Origin, Migration and Settlement.
Well, we are called Bantus and we are not the only Bantus in the African Continent, but we belong to one tribe from the entire Bantu clan which later formed another Clan by it self and this Clan is known as today: SHAMBARA. And the Clan is divided into another five Sub-clans and the five Sub-clans are said to be as follows:
1=Ngindo
2=Nyassa
3=Makua
4=Molema
5=Yao
So, the Shambara is originated from Mozambique, Cameroon, Niger, the forest of Congo which is known as today the modern Zaire and Tanzania. So, before the cause of our arrival Somali, the Portuguese colonists have arrived in Africa in the 15th century, and there existed a modern economy and advanced society on the east coast of Africa that some claim rivaled those in Europe. The Portuguese colonial rule, how ever, disrupted the traditional local economic networks on the east African coast, resulting in a general breakdown of the once prosperous Swahili economy.

Re: Somali Bantu!
http://nhsomalibantu.org/somali%20bantu ... re_005.htmThe Portuguese were finally ousted in 1730 from the east African coast (north of Mozambique) by forces loyal to sultan of Oman, and this sultan was called, Sayyid and with his two sons Majid and Barqash. and Omani Arab domination adversely affected the Swahili but was disastrous to the inland African tribes as slavery expanded to become a major economic enterprise of the Sultanate. While Somali coastal cities were included in the Sultanate, local clans there enjoyed greater freedom over their internal affairs than did the Swahili people in Kenya and Tanzania. So, later Industrialization was increased in the 18th century to demand for cheap labor around the world. Although Slavery in east Africa predates the Sultanate of Zanzibar, widespread plantation and Industrial Slave operations increased in the earlier 19th century for the need of labor. To take advantage for this business opportunity, the Sultan of Oman, Sayyid said, relocated his seat of power from Oman to the East of African island of Zanzibar in 1840. The Sultanate's sovereignty extended from northern Mozambique to southern Somalia. So Africans from these areas were abducted into the slave trade. Tanzania which now includes Zanzibar was particularly terrorized by the slave trade. So the slave trade market was founded in Dar-es-salam, Tanzania which the sultanate was using to export the slaves from Zanzibar through the coastal line of Somalia in the Indian Ocean. So while one of the Boats which was carrying the slaves was passing along side the Somali coast the cruel of Omanian sultan, Barqash was shot to death in Dar-es-salam so, when the captains received this message they stopped the Boat and drop off the Slaves (Bantus) on the coast of Somalia, especially the place called {SHUNGWAYA} and Shungwaya is on the Somali coast between Kismayu and Merca. Then the boat went back to Dar-es-salam and the Bantus started moving down to the land some where around Merca and the shebelle River and later they moved down to the Juba region where by they are found until today.
Re: Somali Bantu!
The bantus are the largest ethnic group in Africa and they are atleast 10,000 years old.
Re: Somali Bantu!
many of them have dissolved into other somali tribes. The Osman Mohamud Tribe of the Majeerteen are 90% somali Bantu. Adde Muse is one of them. If you go to Bossaaso you will find thousands of Bantus calling themselves MJ. I think Hawiye's have some called Kamasle Hawiye which was formed in 1991. Also, we have some in the digil and mirifle tribes and some in the asharaf tribe. so they are not distinct tribe but they are in every tribe.Advo wrote:The bantus are the largest ethnic group in Africa and they are atleast 10,000 years old.

Re: Somali Bantu!
The mayor of Jilib for a good part of the Sixties was Mohammed Shek Suleiman, a Gosha. As far as I know these people had no other tribal connection. Their ancestors were either escapees from the Shabellii plantations or had been taken off slave ships and freed there by the British.
Someone posted pictures a while back of an caano shub for a Jareer Weyn Sultan, so I doubt they have all been absorbed. Many were driven out of the Jubbas and I believe some 13,000 are now in the US. You will find some interesting historical articles if you search "Somali Bantu".

All this has no place in Islam.
Black, blue, green, yellow, doesn't matter.
This is all Jaahiliyyah and Bilal RA one of the Prophets SAW close Saxabi was a black Man.
