Is the search for the "One" realistic?
We are a very idealistic society, at least our generation in the west. With romantic notions of love, sex, and partnership. This has translated into people seeking or desiring that "one" meant for them. Is the search for the "one" based on reality, or is it something else?
How many people believe in the "one"? And what does that mean to you for practical reasons, i.e. marriage, family relations, if they die what then. . . etc?

I don't believe in the "one" per se but rather the one (or possibly more) that were written for you as part of your destiny decreed by Allah.

Are u watching cheesy movies again?
In this life,u r gonna meet those u connect with better than others. The one u consider would be the one that checks yes the most on ur checklist.

There are 7 billion people in the world. Realistically, there are probably hundreds of thousands of people who would make are a 'better' match for you than the person/people you end up with. So much for your wife/husband being your soulmate

If you want a man/woman with the same interests to you aka like you. Organize/start a activity society etc etc and market it etc and those people will come to you.
Simple.
This is why white people go to book clubs and alcohol anonymous.

Self, isn't that a type of one? Because within the "one", destiny encompasses it as well. He/She is the one you were meant to end up with (usually in a lovey-dovey way).
Lilly, when you are in love, then you don't believe anyone else could make a better match for you

Not really, because you could be destined to have more then one spouse or love.
