Re: Somalia general geographical knowledge game
Luuq is in southren gedo wich has low fallrain, its one of the somali places with hottest temperature due to being situated in the quator. As for jilib, the climatic conditions of jubooyinka have changed since the drought days, it needs excessive rains to recover. Hiraan, bay&bakool had received good deeyr rains between october and december but jubooyinka had inadequate deyr rainsLegendarySS4 wrote:Beledweyne?
Now the gu is on the way from march to june this is the main rain season in somali its not short rains like the deyr so hope they would recover in guga

I actually have the map that shows the mean annual rainfall for each region in Somalia. Can't upload it from my phone though.

Thanks STARKAST
These guys dont know the difference between a rainfall-fed land and a run off water-fed land.
Hargeysa and north west are woody places because of having 500mm annual rainfalls while barri, mudug, galgaduud have sctatted accacia trees.
Baay receives over 500mm annually and the third is bakool wich receives between 400-350. The land between baardheere of gedo and diinsoor are very barwaaqo
