I was visiting friends in Germany, when I visited a Somali politician who was seriously ill in hospital. He was accompanied by a “huuno” chanting concubine who referred to everyone including the doctors and nurses to as “Huuno”. It was Huuno this, Huuno that. On his deathbed when I and a friend visited him, she asked in a loud voice; Huuno laba mijimood noogu dir inamada! He was too weak to reply but my repugnance towards the word was shaped.Basra- wrote:JaalleMarx

My Dear Jaale,
Your repugnance towards the word "Huuno" is not really the word itself nor the concubine woman of your beloved dying or dead uncle. I think you are very old school and love anything authentic- Somali. U cherish it, bath in it, and, wipe your futo with it. Your enthusiasm for anything Somali--the language, and, culture particularly; is impressive. It is almost equal to my obsession with Regency England. I think u abhor the word purely on Somali-grammatical or Syntax standpoint. With your many alias names here in somalinet--- ALL unique and eclectic in its veracity, ALL, stemming from a sick appreciation for anything old school Somali and everything that is a mali vocabulary worthy. Of course, the concubine in question here, disgusted you purely because she is reer xaar xamar, and the polar opposite of authentic, gabaal aficionado of "Somali-ness". Both of us are creatures of brilliance, albeit with all due respect darling--- but with difference taste. Both of us are separate in class, civilization and sophistication level. While I am obsessed with the inventors of Polite Civilization, namely the incomparable OLD English people, and then, the Regency having perfected the art. You are obsessed with the Somalis, first, and Somalia second.(I heartily await the book you are going to write about Somalia, hopefully you will use the name "SANBA") You can see we are both even not in the same level. Two very distinct creatures yet blessed in somehow a creativity that is sexy and undeniable. You are freaky with your many love for weird, authentic -Somali nick names, and I am all-obsessive compulsive of anything upper English-echelon class of The Duchesses, and, the grand Countesses. Unsophisticated city names like Dhuso-mareebe turns u on. While for me-a name like Lord Morton, Earl Carlisle, or better the Duke of Devonshire -is grounds to send me to septic shock of blissful, adulterated joy of orgasms.

Her Royal Grace,
What can I say? I am a simpleton who cannot match your brilliance in every sense of the word. True, I have profound admiration for “old” Somali traditions, as you dully noted at a time when we are witnessing unprecedented repulsion against it. However, your awe for “anything English” is mindboggling since you are – at least domiciled- in the US which historically was home to the adversaries of anything “Royal”.
Try old school Somali and I promise thee multiple orgasms. Well, you risk Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder ( PGAD) but getting that is bliss in the context of being a somali.
Sincerely yours,
JaalleMarx

LJ, waa hees wanaagsan
I am feeling like this, this weekend
Naagta aduunka ugu qurux badan baan arkay saaxib; at least according to my taste. Waxaad moodaa in gacan lagu sameeyey; kub weyn, dhex yar, horaad siman, gadaal sidii buurtii daalo; qoor dheer, naaso sidii gamuunka u taagan, ilko toosan oo fanax leh.
Laakin waxaay ahayd love Waayo markaan la sheekeystay ayaay la soo booday Condom ma haaysaa?
Qolkii ayaan ka saarey; waxaan ogaadey inaan ahay nin MORAL leh
Pretty woman; I was Richard Gere iyadana Julia Roberts.
