Who rules Galgadud?

Galgadud seems to be in this strange state of limbo. It's not administered by the government, and Galmudug's authority stops at the gates of Adado. Abdi Qeybdiid marched through here with his army, but he didn't establish an administration, he was just passing through.

There doesn't seem to be ANY authority there.

Am I wrong?

No one can rule Mudug. Even Gaalkacyo is really Lawless.

Northern Galgaduud is ruled by the Galmudug State. The remaining parts of Galgaduud are ruled by different tribal chieftans: Marexan, HG, Abgaal, and Murusade.

Nominally, Marehan has symbolic control over the land. All the governors, ministers, and congresspeople from the region have been us during the past, in anarchy, and even now with the TFG.

At the height of USC power, we moved swiftly to make our imprint all over greater Mudug, from Beledweyn to Gaalkacyo. Who can dare take us on and declaring yourselves a feudal state is akin to daring to take us on.

Besides, Caabudwaaq is by far the biggest city in the region and is at the heart of the economic and politics connection of the region.

James Dahl, how many times do we have to tell you that when we say lawless and anarchic, we really do mean lawless and anarchic.

Even Upper Mudug under Puntland rule is wild, forget about the rest. Families in Gaalkacyo frequently break into jails to free a cousin or punish an entire group of IDPs from the south, because a Bantu kid talked back. This is not Vancouver, the most livable city in the world 2005.
