CNN's Planet In Peril:

Postby The-Screw » Wed Oct 24, 2007 10:17 pm

focking brilliant, I've never seen anything like that before. People are dying around the world and billions are being spent on wars. its time like these that you just almost wish the world would end already, to end the suffering of these poor, innocent victims. Allahu Akbar, http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2007/planet.in.peril/

The-Screw,

and we constantly hear the top 1% of the world with over 80% of the world's resources (rough statistic Laughing ) tell us that overpopulation is causing destruction to this earth when they withhold, sanction, impoverish, and attack/bomb for the few resources the poor in this world have.

Overpopulation is a crap lie just intended to decimate 3rd world populations that aren't already being killed off by diseases, wars, calamities.

The Prophet (pbuh) never told us to control our populations..........it's all crap. The Prophet (pbuh) told us to multiply.

Obviously there is a limit to the number of people the world can sustain. The Prophet didn't mention that you should use clean tools during surgery either, but I don't think anyone would dispute it.

So how close we are to that limit is debateable. That there is a limit is not debateable. Don't be a moron.

Lastly, the scare mongers have been doing this for a long time. I remember when I was young it was the fear of global cooling, and the time to act was then.

The Prophet (pbuh) didn't (as far as I know) say anything about using clean tools explicitly for surgery, but he did say: "Cleanliness/Hygeine is 1/2 of faith"........... Laughing

There is a limit but I don't think we can or will reach it and I think it's BS all the scaremongering talking about depletion of world's resources when some people are sitting on billions/trillions of dollars and then telling the world resources are scare.

I don't think it's right for people to say you shouldn't have children when the purpose of a human being - whether you look at it through religion or secular genetics - is to reproduce. Even the sexual urge comes from the innate desire to reproduce so now that sex is only supposed to be recreational people eventually start to feel empty inside b/c there is a disconnect btwn what they are 'wired' to do and what they are doing.

That would be like eating food with zero nutritional value and feeling satisfied b/c you're enjoying the food.

"Cleanliness/Hygeine is 1/2 of faith"........... "

Which is nice......... but it's a far cry from "ensure your sugical items are thoroughly sterilized prior to performing surgery."

"There is a limit but I don't think we can or will reach it and I think it's BS all the scaremongering talking about depletion of world's resources when some people are sitting on billions/trillions of dollars and then telling the world resources are scare"

Of course we can and will reach it. And No one is sitting on billions or trillions of dollars. The very wealthy, like Bill Gates, have ASSETS worth that, not liquid assets they can just go spend (though you will notice he is liquifying his assets to help the poor while you complain about him). Certainly if the golbal population double every 20 or 30 years from here on out, we are going to find out wha the limit is. Somalia is already close to its limit. There's not enough water there, hence the constant famines..........

And the US Constitution doesn't tell people 'exactly' how to implement laws but it provides a framework for rules, doesn't it? Prophet (pbuh) concerned himself with overarching themes and advice as most general and applicable as possible, not with minutiae that would only be relevant to .01% of the people. The simplicitly with which he spoke also ensured that the people of the time could understand it as well as later generations being able to abstract greater meaning and depth from it.

....besides sterilization of surgery equipment is not some miraculous advancement of logic......it's an eventual conclusion any reasonable person would reach as their experience and knowledge advance. But, the emphasis on hygiene/cleanliness to the point where it is associated with good faith, now that's a very abstract concept and it manifests itself in a person taking hygiene/cleanliness seriously in all facets of their life.

If Bill Gates is helping the poor that's fine and noble..........but he is also pushing a sterilization agenda:

Promotion of abortion rights and contraception

Some social conservatives also criticize the foundation for its support of organizations that promote abortion rights and contraception, including the International Planned Parenthood Federation, Guttmacher Institute, the United Nations Population Fund and the World Health Organization.

Which is fine. But then don't claim perfection (like Ahab the Arab likes to do) when, in fact, it's not even complete. It's just so much bullshit it's focking laughable. Obviously not perfect, if you can't tell me how leaders are selected according to the Prophet. Or was that a "detail"?

Again, fine. But then don't claim Mohammed told us everything we need to know, because he didn't.

And that's his right. He pushes his, you push yours. And if you are as smart and clever as Bill Gates, and learn how to make billions, you will have more influence in pushing your agenda. As if there were something wrong with that. What, he's rich so he's not allowed to have an agenda? Or is being rich and then helping charities push things you think are important bad? Focked up thinking.
