Don't just hate this high school kids always playing Dhaanto in every Somali culture event, and they can't even speak Somali language that good!

you've raised a very important point Kramer...somali kids should start learning their language ..and they should add it to the curriculum of the malcamado or even the schools.

Oxy its called Jaandheer its traditional dance for reer waqoyii ppl ( am sure there are some other 1s but dnt kno of them)
niiiko/baranbuur is a reer xamar dance
Dhantoo ogadeen dance

Jaandheer and the Somali Galbeed dances are the best Somali dance I have ever seen, and I'm not only saying this because they are both done in Waqooyi but they beyond doubt are. The other dances like Dhanto and so aren't pure traditon anymore for the reason that it sort of became like this exasperating thing that is done at every corner and shoved down at peoples throats, it has no value anymore. Personally I hate Dhanto.

i like both dhanto iyo buranbuur i was at ohio state university this saturday and they were doing dhanto iyo burunbuur it was beautiful.
