The laws of Nikaax:

Postby The-Screw » Sat Aug 16, 2008 6:37 am

there was a discussion about marriage yesterday that i was closely following until some idiots hijacked the whole discussion. i'm curious about the whole nikaax thing, how it works, how its supposed to work, when and why and all of that. the difference between old school nikaax and new school nikaax, the do's and don'ts, when to nikaax and when not to nikaax, etc...

i want this to be a serious discussion so please, please PLEASE no one liners or any jokes.

okay screw it depends the culture in every society.
in my end every thing was agreed before the nikaah and before you go infront of qaathi.

so no suprises. i advice you to know all the details before you go infront of the sheikh and the witnesses.
the maher and the amount and how they want it to be paid.
there's mo'ajal= upfront and mo'akher= it should paid later on.
i advice you to just give all at once and kala bahdaan.lol
avoid the high mahar deals.
