I SAW USA A MAN WHO IS CRIPPLE AND A TAXI DRIVER.

Postby ky2008 » Mon Oct 13, 2008 1:29 pm

It was last night that a man who is lame and who I use to think a dependent of welfare turned out to be a taxi driver. This is why I like USA.Every body is doing his/her best to survive.
It is not like Europe where a cripple person is kept at home like pet and in Africa where handcap people are looked down as if they were parasites.
I even saw a pregnant woman who seemed to be about 7/8 months pregnant and who was working on assembly line.

They have no choice man. In some ways it is good because it teaches people responsibility and ingrains in them that hard work pays off but at the same time if these people were not able to work, they would end up becoming homeless. Most companies in the U.S expect a woman to continue working until her water breaks and they get something like 3 weeks of maternity leave. Soon as everything is healed, she is back to work and the baby is raised by a paid babysitter.
