Now is the time for Unity and Nuur Adde is the guy we should back and fall behind, I think thats a good thing.

Somalia needs investment and resources to build our nation and unify the country and build up the Armed forces with mechanised tanks.

When I heard that the tanks had rumbled into Mogadishu I was terribly sad, Somalia had made so much progress in such a short time and it had been snatched away.
Here's hoping Somalia gets a second chance at that progress.

Masha Allah! Walahi, its something to celebrate & be gratefull to Allah for.

I remember in December 2006, how the kuffar-lovers & clan-obsessed tards roamed this forum celebrating the fall of the ICU and the occupation of Xamar by the Ethiopians. How they blasted pics of dead ICU fighters all over the forum poking fun at them and laughing, how they proclaimed "The ICU has been defeated" and other cliche phrases. How for the past 2 years they enjoyed the misery inflicted on the residents of Xamar by the Tigrays & their puppets, most of them claiming it was karma coming to bite back at Hawiye, how they argued the TFG was the best solution for Somalia and we all had to accept it, how Abdullahi Yusuf was sent from the heavens to save Somalia.

Where's the chief kuffaar-lover Cilmiile who once confessed he never prayed or fasted? Where's the brain-dead kid who called himself Shilling and proudly displayed slogans like "Thank you, Ethiopia"? Where's Costa, the midgaan little ku.nt who used to flood the forum with pics of dead mujaahideen at Idaale & others? Today is the day to look at their faces and laugh.
Well Spoken!

We know what those individuals used to say, and how they would chant slogans like ''Mogadishu Liberated, Balcad Liberated, Diinsoor Liberated, Kismaanyo Liberated'' whenever Ethiopian tanks rolled into these cities. Most of these shameless individuals have dissapeared, others have decided to join the winning side and take on a new cover.

But we all know who those staunch supporters of the resistance movement were.

This is a wonderfull victory for Somali people, but lets not forget that Ethiopians are in the periperhy: Baardheere, Baidoba, near Beledweyne etc.

Just today, when the masses of Mogadishu were celebrating the collapse of the Ethiopian occupation's centre (Mogadishu), Ethiopians along with Somali puppets were pushing ahead to Beledweyne, and were fought relentlessly by brave men of the resistance movement:
Dagaal xoogan ayaa maanta deegaanka kala beyr ee gobolka Hiiraan ku dhex maray ciidamada maxkamadaha iyo Maleeshiyaad taageero ka helay ciidamada Ethiopia, waxna la tilmaamay in markii danbe ay dagaalkaasi soo galeen ciidamada Ethiopia.

Dagaalkani u dhexeeyay ciidamada maxkamadaha iyo maleeshiyaad la tilmaamay in ay ka tirsanaayeen maamulkii hore ee gobolka Hiiraan ayaa waxaa u yimid kadib markii ciidamada maxkamadaha ay weerar ku qaadeen labo bar oo ay ku sugnaayeen maleeshiyaadkaasi

This shows us that the war is not complete and that we should prepare for the next round. Every form of senseless internal squabbling should be opposed. We should not waste time, lives and money on fighting each other but spend this time in bringing down the last traces of the EThiopian occupation and on paving the way for internal peacefull development which will make us robust in the next struggle against Ethiopia.

Ciyaal-warta,

We should fight Ethiopians as long as they are in SOmalia and want to bring back the shameless warlords/traitors. No compromise on that. BUT on the other hand we must also put equal energy/time/money or more in peacefull internal development. Mogadishu society after 2 years of devastating Ethiopian occupation needs to be rehabilitated. The 800.000 people need to be brought back, the 16.000 deads need to be identified so that their names wont be forgotten. The Mogadishu Main Market (Bakaaraha) needs to be booming again. Mogadishu city needs to have a representative city administration that takes care of the needs and wishes of the inhabitants of the city. Local governing institutions need to be developed for the various SOmali regions.

So, we should follow a DUAL-STRATEGY. On one side (1), we should defend ourselves from Ethiopian incursions to bring back the warlords/traitors, on the Other side (2) we need to solve the problems of anarchy, and work towards peace, stability, development. Both parts are crucial, if we fail in accomplishing 1, then the door is open for EThiopian tanks with Somali warlords/traitors on top to roll in our cities and inflict terrible pain on us again. If we fail in part 2, we will not be able to solve the problems of anarchy (animosity, division, mistrust, clannism) and thus the warlords/traitors/opportunists will have always fertile environment in which they can emerge and cause havoc.

Insha allah, the future is bright!

To decide wheter the war is won or lost you need to know what the war objectives were and then see wheter those objectives are accomplished. First of all what were the political objective(s) of the Tigres, secondly what were their military objectives and thirdly are both objectives achieved?

Let's say the Tigre's had as a political objective: -To save the threatened puppet government in Baido by checking the expansion of the UIC and roll it back.
And had as a military objective: To destroy the UIC as an political organization.

Then we can say that they have achieved their politico-military strategy, and thus have won the war.

BUT, if the Tigre's wanted to save the threatened puppet government and eliminate all opposition forces which are an obstacle to a functioning puppet government, they have not achieved their objective and thus have not won.

AND THAT is exactly what the Tigres try to achieve...to see that their puppet government functionst in Somalia.

They have not even destroyed the UIC as a movement since the UIC soldiers and supporters have dispersed with Hawiye masses in Mogadishu. So how can you talk about won the war?

And besides, it is completely logical why the UIC disbanded itself as a political organization and has gone underground.

According to the influntial guerrilla war theorist Mao Tse Tung, guerrilla war consists of three phases: A movement conducts revolutionairy war according to these three phases depending on the organization and strenght of the movement and the strenght of the enemy.

- First phase is the strategical-defense, in this phase the movement operates underground. It tries to get the support of the people, it already establishes the infrastructure for an uprising and does everything to discredit the established order. This is the development of local support phase. It takes relatively long.

-Second phase is the strategical-countdown, in this phase the movement wages a guerrilla war against the established order, and tries to use 'safe zones' (the places which the movement has taken control of from the established order) to construct as places were their soldiers are trained and are used to show the people how the movement brings good things to the lands it controls. It is the phase of organizational growth and combat against the established regime.

-Third phase is that of strategical offensive, in this phase the movement wages an all-out war, it goes from guerilla tactics to regular mobile warfare which should lead to the destruction of the established regime.

A movement can go back and forth through these 3 phases...it can skipp the second phase like was the case in the UIC war against the warlords which never witnessed a guerrilla war but immediately went from phase 1 to 3

Or it can go from phase 3 to 2, or even 1..like the UIC intends now to do.

So time will prove us right that the Tigre's will loose and all patriotic Hawiyes and Somalis who have defended their freedom and security patiently and bravely will come out victorious out of this long struggle!

Long live to all Patriotic Hawiyes and Somalis
viewtopic.php?f=18&t=81758

Thats a topic created on the day Ethiopian troops and traitors entered in Mogadishu city (28 Dec 2006). Through rational analyses we showed that Ethiopians would be defeated by patriotic Somalis who showed bravery and patience.

Besides Allah (swt), Time is the best Judge After three years our stance has been proven correct by time.

Those wearing Cimaamads better behave and never terrorize neighbors. What did they get from their aggression except getting destroyed?. They led the Ummah to misery and two years later, they are left to collect the pieces

They had a golden opportunity and perhaps, if they played their cards correctly, should have had Putland and Somaliland on luck, but they choose to attack territories whilst hiding behind religions, but Allah never let Munafiq prosper

Somaliweyn,

I agree the battle is not over yet, now that Xamar has been liberated, the ICU has many tasks in front of them. The most important ones being bringing to justice former TFG warlords that have the blood of innocents on their hands, they also need to go after the Mbgathi mooryaan who profiteered from the protection offered by the Tigrays, snitches who made names for themselves by handing over to the Tigrays vital information on wadaadaha, etc. The ICU also needs to reconcile their differences and distance themselves from qabiil-oriented individuals who join their ranks. In addition, they must avoid unnecessary confrontations with groups like Al-shabaab and others, instead they must seek reconciliation. My prayers are with them, I hope they don't repeat the same mistakes, insha Allah.
