Most countries have different colors for passports and they can be classified as:
[1] A blue passport indicates that the individual is an ordinary citizen.
[2] A maroon or red passport indicates that the individual is on official Government business, Not of a diplomatic nature. That individual may be a military member, the family of a military member, an agency such as a trade mission, a file clerk, receptionist or other functionary. Those bearing this passport are to be afforded such assistance as they may require, but they do Not have Diplomatic immunity.
[3] A black cover declares to all customs and immigration officials that the bearer is a Diplomat or on a Diplomatic Mission for his Government, and that he or she has Diplomatic Immunity from search of his person or property at all times, from arrest, detention or delay of any kind or on any charge. Black is Beautiful.
