Africa map

Postby Cumar-Labasuul » Thu Jun 11, 2009 9:09 am

I came across this map and noticed that the majority of people live near rivers farming lands or the sea, especially in west africa. So the majority of africans live in the north west, west and far south east.

By the way what are those cities above mogadishu - assuming it's mogadishu - because they have a large population?

Wish I knew, the major cities below MOG prolly, Merca and Kismayo. Cities, towns by the coastline usually have large populations.

Balcad and Jowhar to the north (just slightly), then it goes south and west to cover Afgooye, Marka, Baidoa, Bulo Burde, Buur Hakaba and Baraawe, it mostly covers the villages surrounding those cities, which usually have a nearly twice the population population than the cities themselves.

That map doesn't include a lot of heavily-populated areas like Kismayo, Jamame, Jilib, Afmadow, Bardhera, Beletweyn, a lot of bigger north cities too. That's what's fucked up about researchers, they send a few fat Somali guys out to do research and those fatties spend weeks in Kenyan hotels making up bullshit numbers at times.
