Knaan and Rastafarism.

Postby Spursman » Mon Nov 02, 2009 12:53 am

Horta how come you hear knaan talk about babylon with Bob Marlys son Damien Marly. But he never talks about deen or too much about somalis culture just how he survived the war and survival in general harsh africa life. So am thinking has he converted to be rasta? as he talks about babylon/zion a lot waan kashakeyey.

Also I saw a Rasta man that was praying in a masjid during tarawix. I was thinking you cant be a rasta and muslim
i was confused. So can you be a rasta and a muslim? maybe sufi muslim  that involves bidca.

People intaad noshaxeey waxkasta waad arkee indeed waa ruun.

His Imperial Majesty, the most high. That's the most bullshit stuff I hear whenever I listen to Reggae. Haile Selassie used to be buried in an unmarked grave how in the hell is he the most high  Too much ganja in the system will do that to you.

Knaan is not obligated to talk about religion and Somali culture. He got his own brand of music to promote. More power to him. I have seen an interview where he talks about he never even once in his life light up a spliff. That's great.

K'naan has a unique style. shame he's constantly compared to Eminem, even by folks who know better.
