You probably were. I think you made the mistake, by counting the 9 with the 3...so instead of saying 10..11..12, you said...9..10..11

P.S: Do you do accounting?

Nothing is wrong with making a simple mathmetical mistake like especially if the personally is under intense stress.I still remember one day in my applied physics test when i was deriving a complicated formula for a solenoid and then using that same formula to calculate the inductance.It was good at first but messed up when i concluded that 2+3=4
Hopefully The proffessor was very understanding as he was only interested in the method(which is the case in most engineering classes).

Usury is an old terminology that use to be used. Nowadays, the new terminology is 'interest'. It is completely forbidden in Islam. The one who deal with Riba has wagged a War against Allah and Allah has wagged a war against him/her.

An economy can not function without interest (rates), take an economics course. Most of the self-proclaimed Islamic banks use interest rates one way or another. Riba is what they would call Usury in English, interest is not the same.

Credit card companies are the only ones that use a form of usury.
