Is It Cool to still be cool with Your Ex's Friends

I find it akward when you break up with someone and yet still see her friends around the way yet you are unsure how to treat them. Are we supposed to be cool ? Or keep a distance ? Its even more difficult when her friend is more attractive than her, much more pleasant than her and you regret not meeting her friend before her.

Its childish to state your conquests but sometimes it can't be helped. Just the other weekend, I was at a party when my buddy and I laid eyes on the most beautiful woman there. Being my guest, I allowed him to make the move while I played his wingman. The agreement was if he failed in his mission, I would move in. Fortunately, he hit the target which now automatically means that she is out of bounds (I dislike hambo).

Another valid reason is to avoid those awkward moments. How do you date your friend's ex/past conquest ? Its very weird and disturbing.
