I don't believe we have opened our minds to the prospects of political division and it's possible indirect impact on regional peace
I would rather have another Djbouti that is under developed but with relative peace. Every somali has a safe heaven in djbouti regardless of qawil. With a population of 3.5 million if S.land is recognised and it does develop a good economy many somalis that are non-resident qawils in S.land could benefit from their progress.
Also
Recognition is surely the quickest way to make them abondon their divisionist strategy and work towards regional peace just as Djbouti has made attempts to. In generations to come if all somali states stablish peace and harmony then nothing will stop the creation of somaliweyn based on benefit to all partners with a single president where all are equals and each is secure in the knowledge that they have their own destiny in their hands.
Besides that Federalism could have delivered the above union however there isn't sufficient trust among the different clans to make Federalism function.
Recognition could be a path to somaliweyn if we are able to put our emotions to side for a short period!
This is changing and the Domino effect will reshape this map.
