Not at all. It's just an adolescent country going through the upheavals of national puberty. Somalia is simply just in terrible need for a charismatic leader to unite it and lead it through these difficult times. And the illiterate teenagers with ankle length trousers, unfortunately, are not up to this task. They have the necessary firepower and ideological drive to unite the nation, but they're only qualification is being able to read juz amma, and that isn't very useful in nation building.

I also don't think that the koranic teacher and community college professor currently leading the nation are up to the task either, but they are certainly a better alternative than being dragged back to the dark ages by the al shbab inquisition.

50 years is nothing when its comes to history. That's still a baby.

Somalia was united in a hasty matter, so it was bound to fall apart at some point. This simply gives us the opportunity to piece it back together even better. Somalis have now seen that fragmentation is no good. Even Somaliland, the relatively peaceful part of the country, has only been able to construct a handful of architecturally unsound eyes sores the past two decades, the other war torn regions are doing even worse. The nation's territorial integrity is constantly being violated, our fish are resources are being looted, contracts with foreign companies are being signed by functional illiterates every day, and the clan fiefdoms have all become vassal states for Ethiopia. A divided Somalia is not beneficial for the people.
