FIRST LOOK: See Prince William and Kate Middleton's Wedding

Postby Scarletmoon1 » Sat Feb 19, 2011 8:43 pm

It's official!

Approximately 1,800 invitations have been delivered for Prince William and Kate Middleton's highly-anticipated April 29 nuptials, and UsMagazine.com has a first look at the coveted invite card.

A source close to the couple tells Us that the invites were sent starting Thursday evening, but because there were so many it took until Friday to get them all out.

Distributed by the Lord Chamberlain's office, the invites to "the Marriage of His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales, K.G. with Miss Catherine Middleton" stipulate that attendees of the 11 a.m. ceremony are expected to dress in "uniform, morning coat or lounge suit."

One famous face who will not be in attendance? Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, whose rep confirmed she had not received one of the invites. Ferguson's daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, are expected to attend.

When Prince William swaps vows with his longtime girlfriend at Westminster Abbey, three different clergymen will take part in the ceremony: the Dean of Westminster will conduct the service, the Archbishop of Canterbury will preside over the vows, and the Bishop of London will give the address.

William has chosen his brother, Prince Harry, to stand as his Best Man, while Middleton's sister, Pippa, will be Maid of Honor.

At Buckingham Palace, Queen Elizabeth will host a reception for the newly-married couple and "guests drawn from the congregation representing the couple's official and private lives."

After that, Prince Charles will give a private evening dinner -- plus dancing! -- at the Palace for his son, daughter-in-law and close family and friends.

The couple's wedding is expected to be the biggest royal event since Charles married Diana in 1981.

I hate how taxpayers are funding this wedding...
