What a wise words. . Is`nt it a shame Those Somalis who are living inside a Western society in wich they share nothing except Humanity are constantly abusing their Fellow countrymen in wich they shAre with everything. It is time we Somalis bury our heads in shame when mention our Bantu brothers, cause of the atrocities we commit against them. Look at the Big clan who are making the big noise by the distress of civil war. "we have been destroyed by reer fulaan" while bantu are coping well. Shame on you.-These Bantus are Somali Bantus and they are our countrymen and brothers and sister in Islam. So please do watch your dirty backward mouth.
They also don't have a lot of connections in the diasporaIf it is anything to go by, it is quite obvious that this famine is the famine of the farmers and most of Somalia's farmers are Somali Bantu. It seems the Mogadishu camps house only Bantu which is unfortunate since the Bantu have been suffering for 20 years as an extreme minority and now seem to have lost what was left of their livelihood in the form of farms or whatever else was left to support them.
welcome on the forumHello everybody,
I am a Turkish girl whose heart is beating with sufferers of difficult days in Somalia. Here in Istanbul, all bilboards, the ads in buses, metro etc are all packed with messages about the drought; the ads calls for ad.
Yesterday, until 3 am from 11pm, I watched an aid raising programme on ATV, a private channel (several other channels have also done this aid raising programmes). Many (maybe 100 or more) artists, musicians, businessmen, autors etc joined in. They both contributed cash and they were seated in a round table with telephones. General public called these telephones and spoke to all these famous people (in rotation) and offered their cash aid on the phone. Among them, there were children of 5 years old, even very poor people who themselves had received donation (fitre) etc. What everybody was saying is that 'after seeing the suffering there, we feel hurt in our hearts!'
The spirit here is that these aids will continue to rebuild the infrastructure, hospitals will be built by Turkish 'Earth Doctors' Organisation and some private hospital chains in Turkey, hundreds of young people will be brought to Turkey for 5 years on full-scholorship bases including accomadation, daily expenses etc. (When our Republic was founded after the occupation of country in First World War, we had also sent our young people abroad for education.)
And hopefully Domestic conflicts should cease for the best interests of the public. Human lives and wellfare are at stake.
Well, I am so glad to be in a forum that connects me with any Somalian brothers and sisters.
All the best, let Allah's blessing be with you.
