ALHAMDULILAH

Postby Nanees » Thu Nov 10, 2011 12:57 pm

Graduated 5 months ago, and finally found a job  exactly one month before direct loans started hounding me for payments. ALHAMDLILAH!

How many of you felt the post-grad crunch and how bad was it for you?

I owe almost $30,000 in student loans.

As soon as school finishes in 4 months or so, I am fleeing the country.

If I were you, I would flee.

I'm guessing the states right, damn that's cold. In UK they only start taking payments once you start working be that if it's one month, one year or 20 years
and if you don't pay it back after a certain amount of time (I'm guessing over 20yrs) then they pardon the debt clean.

You can still work in other countries. Just flee the original country you had your education and find work in a sunny, hot place. That way, you are not working like a dog and paying back loans to a place that is snowy and cold.

Inshallah god willing if I am alive later on, I will think about hajj later if my future wife hasn't gone before.

Who lied to you?
You only need to start paying it back once you earn over a certain amount.. Cant remember how much it was though.
