Naaso Hablood Pyramids ?

Postby anonymousfaarax » Tue Nov 15, 2011 1:44 pm

Are naaso hablood some kind of pyramids  ? or is just a coincidence ?

I ask this because of their shape but also because of their make-up; if you look closely at this picture you will see the layered stone/brick, particularly at the top left. Is this a natural formation, in this shape :? But imo the reason they cannot be pyramids or human-made is because of the thin layers, rathern than big blocks, of the rock that makes up naaso hablood which is covered in sand/gravel/earth. It is worth looking into though

" In ancient Somalia, pyramidical structures known in Somali as taalo were a popular burial style with hundreds of these drystone monuments scattered around the country today. Houses were built of dressed stone similar to the ones in Ancient Egypt,[13] and there are examples of courtyards and large stone walls such as the Wargaade Wall enclosing settlements."

v.s.

" Sada Mire carried out a survey at one of the peaks of Naaso-hablood in 2007 and found that the two peaks are natural and not man-made structures. However, it is possible that the shelters provided by the natural overhang of the peaks have been utilized by people as settlement at different times. There are stone tools found at the site that support such a proposal. "
