Reflection on the Rules

Postby Nanees » Wed Dec 07, 2011 1:48 am

The following actions will result immediate ban:
1- Posting Somali/clan politics material on this forum (General Discussions) repeatedly. . in all honesty the people in the specific clan politics forums intimidate me. am i allowed to post clan politics material on this forum if i fear persecution in others?
2- Changing the course of discussion by injecting hate/vulgar language, clan blshit, personal attack, etc. You cannot ruin discussions just because you have some beef with the author. What if the beef with the author is a direct result of the topic of the discussion? In which case the hate/vulgar language ect would not be changing the couse of the discussion, rather it would be following the natural evolutoin from it.
3- If you see inappropriate material on this forum and you don't report it, then you come back days/weeks later and accuse moderators for not removing that offending material. As a member, you are expected to help moderators. If you refuse to help then you are not in a position to criticize the mods for not doing their work. This assumes we as members have enough incentive to report thingies when they occur. I suggest you implement a sortof 'volunteer brigade' of members to give them the confidence needed to take the initiative to report. You can't have your cake and eat it too!
4- Constant trolling, spamming. One mans trolling is another mans awesome memory of the first harry potter novel when the trio first united.
5- Pornography may not be linked or posted in any shape or form. may allah preserve us
6- Hatred and Qabiil bashing. okay cool, i dont even know how to pronounce qabil anyways
7- Insulting the MODS or attacking them in anyway.nabeelas eye is the colour of the untanned skin in my underarm and fahs' university has a turtle as a mascot wtf
8- Excessive swearing and foul language, vulgar, profanity etc. What about in other languages? can i cuss in pig latin?
10-Personal insults against the dead. How about vampires? Like if i cuss out edward cullen hes dead but hes alive...where does that leave us?

On a serious note, I've reported a nude image more than once. It's still there. I wan't to reply to the thread, but not willing to bump it in it's current state.

It's all bullshit.

Talk about boredom

You just insulted my eye, I shall take action against you ASAP

About the reporting thing, you can't report something from a week ago and expect us to see it, it's impossible, unless you are reading old pages.

If you reported something inappropriate and nothing was done, PM the link to one of the MODS, chances are we missed it.

Of all the rules, I think the worst one is "cursing/insulting the dead". I want to curse and use abusive words against individuals of power who have made us stateless.

Of course you can criticize their actions, esp if they played a role in our history, we are just talking about "ana ku waso" " fuck his face" "that cunt may rot in hell" etc, that kinda personal insults, you just have to differentiate the two.

I do respect your view Nabeela, but I beg to differ. But rules are rules and are created to be followed. As a citizen ( this is probably my 1000th post) I am inclined to follow.

Thanks,
This is my 1000th.

With this 1000th post, I want to say that I have met dozens of good people on this site; I have also met a few that need some brain transplant.

Overall, this place has improved; and thanks to the moderators and some outstanding contributors.

I am off to celebrate; will raise a glass.....
