A1, tea, as well as those other additives (as long as they are not mixed with other foreign/artificial stuff) are just plants.

Lol, it can be good, if done right. I usually just enjoy heel and perhaps a bit of ginger every now and then. Maybe black pepper during winters. Cinnamon and cloves are way too much for me.

I've experimented and found nutmeg to also be an interesting flavour.

mashallah, runtii waa in ilmaha lagu baraarujiyo suugaanta, its the best way to become strongly literate in a language. Especially since we have left our culture back home and live amongst foreigners.

A1: Apart from black pepper (do people add that in their tea? Never knew that), I like the rest in tea. Well, not all of them in a cup of tea at one time.

Also, never added nutmeg in tea but it tastes good in Halwa Somali.

Beans:  @ gotta milk this before i shoot myself in the foot. I think there is just those moments that somehow something changes & you succumb to dhaqan-celis state, don't know why. I'll try to remind you next time I see you in such condition so that we can figure out what the cause is.

Twist, black pepper is great, if measured right. It gives every sip and extra kick. Awesome for colds as well. Somalis I've seen go nuts, and add all those ingredients in one pot, ending up creating an insane concoction I can't get myself to drink. It doesn't even taste like tea any more.

I've experimented a bit with tea. I find nutmeg gives it a peculiar warmth. Coconut and vanilla are great, boiled with the shah and milk. Stay away from chocolate, not a good mix  I've been interested in orange zest/peels/oil, but could never get around to actually do it.

LOOOOOL! You're crazy! Who even thinks about adding orange zest/peels/oil in tea? But you never know, the result might be something awesome.

Coconut & vanilla? You mean coconut milk in tea?

I am afraid as you keep experimenting some weird mixture you might create the next nuclear bomb in your kitchen.

Sorry, coconut shavings and vanilla. With the typical style of boiling milk with the shah.

Orange peels have a taste and sent I think would go well with tea. Especially if they're caramelized.

There are tons of teas that come pre-packaged with dried fruit. I've always wanted to buy em, but haven't.

@ A1: Funny enough, the only type of pre-packaged tea with anything extra I ever had was Lipton tea with mint (Vanilla one too, I think) & I didn't like it.

Lately, I am into green-tea, though I can't tell if the said health benefits are true or not. All my life, I was the kind of person who could drink tea whenever I want & sometimes skip having a cuppa entire month.

@BB: The one I posted about a week ago, or another one?

Twist, yeah not all prepackaged teas are great. Though it may also depend on how you made it.
