I don't have any problem with ethnic federalism. If Meles was a just muslim ruler, I'd have no problem with him. I have no issue with his ethnic background. I've said before, the better the rulers in the region become, the less borders will matter. I would like to drive from Khartoum to Moqdisho someday without the need for a visa.
