even issaq will never be somalia president (not that issaq pple are interested in being president of that hell hole to begin with). president will either be hawiye (abgaal to be specific) or a darod (mj, dhulo and maybe marehan, that's it). so what i'm saying is, that list should mention the qabil as the first requirement since that's the main deciding factor who becomes president.

thats just something you just made up

If you look at world leaders the average age is around 50-55 I would guess, So 40 is alright.
What if a 37 year old wanted to run? it should have been 30.
30 cannot even run a classroom

I couldn`t care less if aliens were ruling Somalia.
Somalis have long proved themselves incapable of governing themselves without resorting to genocide and man made famines.

Its not the lack of sovereignty that has caused Somalia problems, rather the lack of peace.
If the price of peace is international trusteeship of Somalia, then its a price worth paying :som:
:wow:
I'm really so worry about the countrys future, these dirty candidates are no more than tools and instruments used in doing what the east african countries want... the nation is too corrupt... It comes no surprise that the latest corruption was installed by the elders.

$10,000 registration fee? LOL!

I guess thats cheaper than running for the US Presidency where Obama and Romney will combine to spend nearly $1 billion to get or keep a job that pays $400,000

Did he wield real decision-making powers as PM and vice president?

we really shouldn't get worked up about who is going to be president, its a ceremonial role.
I don't have any real preference, except that Gaas doesn`t win because he is actively working against Khaatumo progress. :som:

Yes I believe he was one of the most powerful men of Somali republic. He was also de facto head of state for several months while Said Barre was recovering from a car accident.

Do you also believe he's a war criminal who caused the death of thousands of innocents?

If there is evidence for it, Yes. If not, then No.

Is Samatar admitting enough evidence?
A seven year court battle that went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court ended in a federal courtroom in Virginia on Thursday when former Somali Gen. Mohamed Ali Samantar admitted liability for war crimes and human rights abuses committed in the late 1980s, when he was the defense minister and commander of military forces in Somalia.
