Help a sister out

Postby Ladyyonelove » Tue Oct 02, 2012 5:04 pm

So inshallah make dua for me everyone I am taking my nursing entrance exam inshallah nov anywho the school I have applied for is a loooonnnnggg distance away from where I live - without traffic about 50 minutes away with traffic 1 hour 30 minutes away. Now I am not the type to complain about driving but this is a big issue for me because I do not want to be driving back to and from the school for 4 hours total so I have been thinking about just living in the dorms. So, I am kinda like cnfused on whether or not I should go for it because tuition for this school is already 23 grand yearly but with room and board its 32 grand ..... Help this process be easier for me yey or nay?

Don't do it. That's ridiculous. There must be better options.

Don't do this program. I sincerely hope you're just bored and trolling again. Unless you're sitting on $100K, that's a massive debt.

Never heard of a nursing degree with such a measly projected annual pay-out. If you're borrowing student loans, you always want your starting pay to be at least double that of whatever you borrowed in undergrad and about equal to whatever you borrowed in postgrad. If you're a science major, I believe the cap is double to what a liberal arts borrower needs to borrow. If your projected starting salary is around $30k, you'd want to stick to borrowing less than $20k.

Those fees are outrageous, sorry to break it to you but you'll barely make that much money working as a nurse, so forget paying that much for tuition.
