Couldn't find Fah's economic thread , I was trying to address points raised by Abdiwahaab and gurey, then I thought this should have its own thread , because it’s much more than a problem of economics , now Abdiwahab and gurey have a legitimate points , most of what they said is right , but it’s a superficial understanding of Anglo-American socio-economics. One has to go beyond the superficial clichés of these points made by Abdiwahab and gurey and understand deeply how the system runs and functions.

The American "revolution" is the only hyped up Rich-man's revolution in the world and the only revolution about taxes , the American wars of independence were instigated unlike the French , Russian and Haitian revolution by rich men while all others were by the poor enslaved lower classes, in a sense it was not a revolution at all only the rich voted till 1830 , the so called founding fathers of America were concerned with their business and taxes and power , the poor in America were barred from voting if the man had no property he was not allowed to vote , Indians , blacks and women were also excluded that’s almost 90% of the American society , it was a rich white man revolution, whereas the French revolution had black men and were allowed to sit as citizen in the French revolutionary parliament, the Haitian revolution was about freedom , the Russian was about property and class.

So from the beginning of the American states there was always a Rich Ruling Class and until today the same Rich Class rules America and most of the world, understanding how they are managing to rule a democratic society from behind the scene is what I am mean by a deep understanding of how America is run, talking the talk of the expert and the lingo of Shalom Bernanke or fox news, is a superficial understanding of how America function. Gurey made some points about FDR and his New Deal, but how and why did FDR was able to tax the rich at 91% in the 1930's and why the rich ruling class allowed him to do so??

From 1890's to the 1920's in America the old Rich Class basically lived like kings in the open , JPMorgan , Ford , Rockefeller and others made their fortune and lived like barons till they crashed the market during the roaring 1920's after making sure they pulled their money out of the stock-market before it collapsed. During the depression years that followed the working class were up in arms millions and millions were unionized and organized, America was almost close to a real revolution not the old fake one by the rich. During FDR's presidency, FDR met American Ruling class to avert a revolution (remember in the 1930's socialism was very popular in America) FDR gave the rich few choices either the masses with pitch fork will raid their wealth or property or either they have to accept a 91% taxes and they have to pay for his massive rebuilding programs, the rich conceded, one rich man said " 91% is at least better than 100% taxes". They won't tell you this in Fox News or CNN, but that’s why and how FDR did it.

Now from the 1930's till the 1970 average American ( whites working and middle class) made the greatest wealth and won the greatest concession from the Ruling Classes, from wages, union, health care , Unemployment Insurance , pension etc., not because the Rich gave it to them out of mercy no because the working and middle classes were strong and well organized and basically run both parties the democratic party ( working class party ) and even the republican which was center-leftist party during those years. For over 40 years the rich ruling classes of America have been losing to the tide of the working class, not only in America but also in much of Europe.

The Rich Class in America functions like the old European aristocracy , most of you don't see them as a class because you see rich individuals like Bill Gate , G.Soros , Koch brothers etc., the Walton’s, but you know they exist and know them as just rich men, you will hear a lot about the middle-class in the news and media but never the upper-class , they don't even use that term upper-class they are mentioned as individuals , also you have to understand how they form a community that defend its interest collectively. Behind the scene the rich have their own social clubs like the Bohemian Club in California where rich families come together once or twice a year, they send their children to exclusive private schools, they go to summer resort together. They are not just rich families they have an institutional structure and organizations where they discuss issues as a group and from a position that is good to their interest as a social group.


The rich upper class in America and also in Europe are divided into 2 , those who own the capital and those who manage the capital for them like CEO's and Managers etc., even there they function as an interest group and social class, for example all the bankers and corporate managers join social clubs that owned by the their bosses the capital owners , also if you check the head of most corporations and banks the same people sit in the board of the others , David Rockefeller of Chase Manhattan banks sit in JPMorgan board and it’s the same throughout the corporate world. Then you have their Discussion Groups institutions , like The Committee for Economic Development, The Council On Foreign Relations (CFR), Business Round Table, these discussion groups formed by the Rich Ruling Class discuss particular issue , they invite academics who agree to their particular agenda always their interest in mind to form policies regarding for example foreign issues , or domestic issue like welfare and Medicaid , labor and such, they fund their own studies to support their own agenda , their agenda and studies are promoted in their media outlets be it TV or newspaper and radios. In T.V their men are promoted as "expert" or "independent" but in actuality they are not, good example is Thomas Freidman of the N.Y times, they are working for the interest of a particular group. Also they have their own academics in all major universities , Harvard, Yale , Princeton, Berkeley, and M.I.T, also these same expert work in their think-tank foundations, like Rand Corporations ( named after Ian Rand) or the foundations named after such people as Nixon , Ford, so and so school for Strategic Studies that you always see in TV promoted as an independent "expert" PhD this or Dr. this and that, thus they gain this almost super natural legitimatizations , and most of us think "who are we to argue with these Professors and Doctors and experts "

In the middle of the 1950's the Ruling Class found their savior in the Austrian School of economics ( the founding fathers of what we now days call neo-liberalism the school of Milton Freidman ) the Austrian school of economics provided the intellectual base to challenge Kenyesim and socialism, these groups of professors in America backed by the rich classes propagated their supply side economics , various institutions were created to argue their cases , the Ford Foundations even provided new books in economics for schools and universities. By promoting and marketing their agenda cleverly through institutions, experts, and the media they own for the last 30 years the Ruling Class managed to back roll all the gains the working class have won since the 1930's.

Unions were crushed by cleverly doing tow things by including the largest head of the two unions in America into their discussion group institutions and by propaganda to the working class “the big bad union boss myth" so much that now America has the least unionized working force in all major industrialized nations. Also they have used the average poor white-American’s paranoia about the "government" to their advantage , the "big bad government" myth is peddled to the poor envious white working class males that think the big bad government has given too much to women. Blacks and immigrants, like the Tea Party which is bank rolled by the Koch brothers 2 brother members of the Ruling Class who are member of all the social, business, corporate organization I have mentioned above. In fact you can inter connect all these organization with the international one like World Economic Forum , IMF , World Bank and World Trade Organization. It boggles most of the working class how the members of the Tea Party adopt the agenda of the Rich Ruling class and vote against their interest, that’s the magic of the Rich upper class they will use the peasant to vote against his own interest by appealing to wedge politics, like abortion, race, immigrant and such and once they have these poor white in their side they cleverly include taxes, deregulations, welfare reform into that agenda.

Also within the class that owns the capital there are 2 kinds , those mid-level rich who own regional companies and the super-rich who own large international corporations , the former is mostly ultra-conservative and most religious , they see The Welfare State as the kernel of all evils and they are obsessed with union power and taxes , they are promoted in the popular media as " the small business class" , they are also isolationist since their business is within united states and they are anti-free trades since they don't benefit whereas the big international corporations promote free trade and free movement of capital to exploited cheap land, labor and loose laws.

Now so how America is ruled, Nixon, Carter, Reagan, Kissinger and every treasury secretory since J.F.Kenedy days was picked groomed by this class and later was bank rolled to run for presidency, Nixon was funded by these groups in the 1950's to run against a liberal candidate in California, literally the rich interviewed 100's till they came upon Nixon and discovered him and funded him to run. Henry Kissinger a poor run away eastern European refugee student in Harvard was introduced to David Rockefeller and later inducted to his social organization and introduced to Nixon and there the history of Nixon began ( till now he is the advisor to Obama) another man Berzenski same idea . Even Obama in the 1980's and in his biography he worked for a cover C.I.A company (consulting firm), Geithner, Larry Summer, Rubin, etc.

These ruling class, make the policy and choose the mangers (Presidents) they presidents do not deviate from the agenda, for example the top 8 corporate donations for Obama came from wall-street firms and banks, it’s insane for those of you who have not understood the system to demand change from the likes of Obama, Clinton, Carter, and all these mangers, they don't run shit, they just make sure the system runs smoothly. One might asked then how come anybody can run for presidency in America, if there is a ruling class how come that happens. non sense, you and I can even run for presidency in name only but unless you have millions or know somebody who will back you up who have millions it’s on paper only by not practical. It happens some times that people elect politicians who oppose the ruling class it happens but the ruling class get rid of them as soon as possible by funneling millions of dollars to their opponents.

It’s easy to say the international financial crisis can be solved by doing this or that just like Iceland, but what happened in Iceland will never be copied in United States, Canada, UK, and PIIGS nations, in Iceland even the president was put into prison and the ruling class were crushed by strong and popular well organized working and middle class and free open media, you have none of these. So for the next century every four years the likes of Obama and Romney will come on TV debating shit putting a good act for the working class , and some will cheer others will boo but at the end of the election they will adopt the polices of the Ruling Class Period, just like in the Matrix if you take the blue pill and be like Union and live in the matrix it’s your choice , or if you take the red pill and wake up from this managed spectacles it’s your choice

In Kenya where most people can't afford meat on weekly bases and consume the concoction called " week-push" yet during the migrations of the wilder beast crossing the Mara river 250,000 head of animal die by the river and due to stemped , that is peddled to the African as beauty of nature , just watch them get consumed by the crocs and the rest drawn in the river and wait for the tourist dollars to feed your family . I find that idea very strange, why not make a decent bridge for these animals and cull 200k per year and export or consume the meat???
