Sometime back Al-Islah(Muslim brotherhood of HoA) broke down in two parts, the more moderate part called them self dam jadiid or new blood. Senior members of president PDP party are from Dam jadiid, most of them are fairly educated and are qabiil free.

 kaftanku faham next time..

dam jadiid are a branch of the former islah like daadi said. some of al islah became aal sheikh, though they have a different background in some aspects. dam jadiid are a new bunch, they didnt officially 'break-off' but they're more education orientated and young academics. Some, though not very reliable, state that dam jadiid are more hardline than the other al islah factions.

Al islax was founded in saudi arabia in 1979 by 6 guys, 4 of them was khudub sheekhaal, 1 reerow xassan, 1 hawadle cabdi yusuf. The khudub sheekh garyare led the movement, he was a qabilist so he didn't gave chance to the non sheekhaals. In the 80s he sent a lot of sheekhaals to the somali and world universities like the khudub dr dasuuqi, dr ali dheere the founder of mogadisho university, dr ali baashi from kismaayo he is loobage the current al islax leader. There were two organisations that was financing al islax activities: jamciyat al islax al khairiyah led by a gaaljecel shaikh called abdulqadir kututb and munazamat muslim ifriqiya led by faarax macalin(reerow xassan). One day, they tried to change the tribal system of al islaax that sheekhaal man appoints another sheekhaal man without a direct voting. So some majlis had to vote and the gaaljecel guy had won it. The sheekhaal rejected the result and then the hawiye and ogadeen started splitting from islaax. Ogadeen had their own al tadaamun and qabdulqadir kutub with his dam jadeed strongly backed by the big hawiyes like abgaal and sacad hg who didn't like to be controlled by a laangaab clan. After some time reerow xassan has splitted from sheekhaal during the carta peace this has led farax macalin splitting from al islax with his marehan friend dr doodishe and since he had the money as the head of muslimi ifriqiya organisation he founded another one thanks to his arabic contacts and the new president was working with him in that organisation. This group had dominated dam jadeed with their money they also were ally of the courts when islax supported the ethiopian backed tfg so many islax again have joined them.
Now the islax sheekhaal has splitted into two groups. Ileey has appointed a small khudub subclan in the somali sheekhaal region, the big subclan attacked the ruling minority and they killed eachother. sh ali dheere and dasuuqi belong to the big subclan and sheekh garyare belongs to the smaller subclan wich supports ileey so he sided with his subclan. Ahmed bashi works with the big khutub so garyare fired them all but he forgot he was no longer a leader. There has been many leaders since he settled in canada and was just a member.
