Arabian;I would assume they are accessible to the public.But that's not the point.Those manuscripts belong the the Somali people.Not to his School or Britain..I once went to the library at SOAS.Man they have almost every publication from all corners of what they call the orient,for the last maybe 100 years to the present
I'm not surprised about the former colonialists stealing the historical manuscripts of Somalia. I suspect the Italians have as much if not more manuscripts in some departments of their government or schools. Some of those manuscripts won't be made available to the public for obvious reasons. Somalia had various sultanates over the centuries, and it's hard to believe some of their manuscripts or historical writings haven't survived.
