Maybe you scared her Laughing
She probably didn' t want to talk to you. I usually get another seat if a farax trys to pull that trick on me or even sits next to me. I don' t get how some guys have the nerve and try to chat you up.

Biko you have misunderstood the message the xijjab is sending, so obviously she took the next best step.
You shouldn’t try and chat up a sister with a xijab on…that’s No No…

Biko: Here, in my country, a girl with hijab doesn't want to talk anybody unless he's properly well introduced by a friend of her... It's a matter of protocol, I think...

They say...what is inside is seen from outside.
The hijabi sister is honourable and is trying to lower her gaze.

Biko, really you are a guy with bad islamic manners.May Allah forgive you.

A young somali girl who attends islamic secondary school once asked us why somali men fix their eyes on her in the streets without blinking.

She cannot understand the contradiction between what she is taught in her islamic school and the behavour of somali men in the street.

All I had to say was that we have grown up men who are ignorant about Islam. Also we have munafiqeens in our community.

BIko,

hun, nevermind these people with their principles and protocols about hijabi girls. the problem with your scenario is that YOu just missed one of the obvious chances of making a conversion relative to her. yOu see, she was reading a prayer book, you should have struck a conversion about prayer or religion. girls even hijaabi girls wanna chat. Its all about choosing conversions relevant to her. Remember, when she saw you,she was probably expecting worst case scenario" another lost somali brother" stereotyope. now all you have to do is throw her off with some religious knowledge and I gurantee you that she will cave. Wink

Lacageylacag

may Allah forgive us all.

i have a weakness for hijab wearing sisters, so i guess am guilty at been captivated by beauty and sisters that gives pleasure to the mind and senses. but i dont stare with my tongue hanging like a dog.

maybe i forgot myself and thought i was in a public transport back in djibouti where there aint no such thing as strangers... Laughing

but like i said before; my intentions were honorable and i was only thinking with my head: the one between my shoulders.

can a brother appreciate a sister without a hidden agenda? whats the world coming to

SomLight,

You left out HONESTY, which is paramount personal quality don't you agree! What if the girl tells him to meet her but doesn't show up. And she does this again and again and again and again... will her other qualities makeup for her mendacity?

Biko,

You should've struck up a convo, ask your self: what do you got to lose?

dd

what have i got to loos? nothing i guess but next inshallah.

lady_qac

it will take more than a hijab to deter biko...

i also have a prayer book, and for a moment i entertained the idea of reaching for mine and say, " i got one just like it". do you think it would have helped?

come sis help a brother out and tell me whats the best approach in those situation.

a somali hijab wearing halimo is the best thing to happen to somalis after being a somali.

Biko you are not on your own!!!!!

Power to our sister in hijab...

Try them, chat to them and converse with them.
The worst you will get is she will not talk back....
