Red Sea, Habasha is driven from the Eritrean region of HAmasin and this in turn one of those tribes who migrated from Yemen to Eritrea and brought the Semetic language to the Horn of Africa.Habasha means in Semetic languages either collectors 'habasa" or "ambasa" lions.

Was the king who welcomed and gave refuge to the early Muslims of the 7th century from Eritrea or Ethiopia? I mean, the area must have been close to the Red Sea.

There was no such thing as either. He was Axumite (which included parts of Ethiopia and Eritrea) and spoke ge'ez.

I'm talking about the geographic location where he was based. Is that now in Eritrea or Ethiopia?

Habesha are semetic speaking people

Ethiopia is not habesha country because only 25% of ethiopians are habesha but 50% of ethiopians are oromos who are fake habesha

Eritrea is a real habesha country because 90% of the country are from habesha ethnic groups
true, ethiopia doesn't have a large habasha population 22% are xabasha and 70% cushitic and 8% Niolitic people

false 65 of ethiopia is xabasha the other 35% are cushitic , Niolitic and Arabs (Rashida)

The problem is that names are not constant, and in some cases are deliberate hoax. Ethiopia being applied to the current Amhara-tigrey state is perhaps the most cruel of these and will need to be politically dismantled someday.

As for the name Habasha it may have been derived from a word meaning lion-- referring to lion of Judah. Its also said to be a derivative of the arabic word for 'mixed'.

What is important is that habasha civilization came about because the kushtic peoples acceptance of mosaic law, along with this came the infusion of abrahamic lineages into the area. In ortherwords, habasha civilization is built on kushtic foundation, The essence of kushtic civilization is monotheism, pious leadership and divine providence. When Islam was born in Arabia, Al-Najashi represented that essence of kushtic civilization, many of his subjects along with other kushtic peoples eventually came to the fold of Islam, the holy center of kushtic civilization having being transferred to the Holy city of Harrar whose decline was foretold to coincide with European dominance as it did. The Muslim Hararis, Somalis, Jebertis, Oromos, Afar were interchangeably called Habasha and Berber (Today the only remnant of this name is Berbera, and the label has travelled all the way to morroco, so much for names being accurate).

What about the Amhara etc., well they are known to have kushtic and foreign elements, however the western imperialist and racial supremacist have successfully used this element of foreigness in the fabric kushtic people to re-configure and temporarily stifle the great hope that the renewal of kushtic civilization holds. In that sense they need a name that defines them, and 'ABBYSsinia' seems appropriate since they have literally fallen into the abyss.

The christian-muslim tolerance and co-existence in north-east Africa have been disturbed by western agitation several times with dire consequence for the minority christians, one only must remember what happened to the nubian christian civilization who were dubed to side with the western crusaders "holy blunder". The ABYSSinian in the past century have essentially gone down the same road, with exception of the christians in eritrea, having been recruited to essentially help undermine, stifle and blunder the real Ethiopia from rising again. Unfortunately for them the civilization of Northeast Africa is destined to and must rise.
