Funny thing is I was chatting to this OG shiekh who went to Hargeisa from UK. Whilst he was sleeping he heard Tigrees down stairs so he called his guide and cursed him for setting him up. Anyway the put some niqaab over him and got out of the back door and in a car to Burco, where he spent the rest of his holidays.

My first time seeing outside of Berebera was 2006 which was the first time I went back home since 19….
I have this fascination of the east side of Somalinad so I took a long journey that took 3 days from Hargeisa to yaroowe. I stayed at City Plaza hotel (very nice hotel) in the out skirt of the city. I visited the new bridge (it was under construction) and the detergent factory in the east end. The Indha deero factory was still under construction. I spend half a day at Burco U and the old German school. I had a great time there man. I also discovered I had families in the east end of the city.



Next time, Ceergaabo and Sanaag…here I came, Insha ALLAH.

Did you go to Borame and the west end of the country? The dynamics of the landscape is very similar to east side. By the time you reach Dila, it becomes more like Sheikh Mountains with high elevation and beauty to match. Xagan iyo giriyaadkuna waa iska bankii saraaruun.

Does that still in operational? Togdheer hotel was the first place where the SNM flag was mounted back in the 80s. Very historical site...

Togdheer hotel has been there since the 80s, but they have upgraded it now, its looks much better then before, even thou its not like one of those Imperial or Mansoor hotels!

I was expecting a lot better roads from Somalia's most developed city, but nontheless impressive.

More than anything what impressed Me the most is the place looked like it Had life. Everybody was walking somewhere, and looked like they Had something to do. Also traffic police

I disagree inaadeer. The togdheer hotel of yesterday was a clasic hotel and histrorical one too. Imika waa iska arbeerko like bar Ubax in Berbera. Wakhtigiisiibaa dhacay. Xitaa Bilaal baa Xaajigu ka takhalisuy. Dinac walba waxaa laga dhigay high class hotel. laba talaabo waxaa ka xiga Red Sea hotel another good one for the price of less than $15.
