There's been an update as for qardho and nugaal countryside their is huge project being started for them. You can read about here
http://www.raxanreeb.com/?p=60483

It's project that will generate Creates Over 2000 Jobs And 18000 beneficiaries who recieve $25-40 a month payments for disabled/childrens/and elderly folks. Plus the projects create crical rural infrastructure for nomads. Canal system is intended for karkar/nugal nomads so they can use it as watering point for their livestock rather then going to some other degaan to find water. Plus emergency shelters are being constructed in both the regions so when floods happens the idp's can go to the shelters and stay in there.

Pick up your news on puntland sxb because ur not reporting properly on puntland it seems ur hiding alot because u dont want to see the state progress but remember no matter if u hide it or dont report it puntland will still progress at rapid rates

Expect to see alot more production facilities to open in the new future because that is the next phase of development that puntland has entered. More factories and Plants plus they putting a huge emphasis on islamic investment principles I think they want to lure all the puntland business-men in the mid-east to start forming their bases in bossaso. Tawakal has done it. Dahabshil is opening massive one. The ball will continue to roll.

Bossaso alone has 4 hospitals now.

This is the city center Hospital. Its located right in the heart of the city.

the suburb hospital

That is the hospital that will be upgraded to 3 stories. You can read about here
http://www.puntlandgovt.com/som/current ... php?id=936

That is the one which will have 2 stories added to it making it 3 story hospital facility similar to the city center hospital which is 3 stories. Plus the one in Galkayo is intended to be 3 stories and Garowe.

Plus their is university hospital in Bossaso also
Image

Image

Plus a fourth hospital is going up in Bossaso But I dont have the technical details I just seen it in horseedmedia critcising article of the administration. But what i can see it will be at least 3 stories or more

Paidmonk did you see what the state minister said in his speech to the diaspora? Puntland is now not classified as phase 4(Humanitarian) but phase 3 (Development).

You can watch the grand speech of the state minister how we r moving away from humanitarian relief stuff which mainly goes to those stinky eelay folks anyways but to development phase.

You can watch it below

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

You should watch it all because he makes some very good points. But watch in particular part 2 section in particular the 2:30 to 4:00 mark to hear how we have been changed from phase 4(humanitarian) but to phase 3(developmental) so expect alot more development projects to happen of a larger scale nowadays.

Plus the state minister says we are aiming to move into self sufficiency. We have the factories all up now anyways however we still need more industries to provide local employment and also provides the govt more tax revenue. The foreign investments are lining up now. I think alot of our businessmen based around the world will start creating their headquarters in bossaso similar to what tawakal and dahabshil is doing in bossaso. Plus I expect that our fishery sector is going to be hugely boosted in the near future from foreign investors because they will see it's impossible to steal fish from puntland anymore as they have been doing for a long time as u know.

Our businessmen mainly in mid-east/africa are not yet investing which is quite sad wallahi I hope that changes in the near future but we got heaps of businessmen around the world who should start focusing on investing. Remember if our businessmen take that first step and starting opening up their headquarters in bossaso this will lead to other foreigners seeing that our state is safe to invest into. Plus there was huge meeting about islamic investment principles the other day in garowe between local businessmen.

You can watch the local businessmen conference below

So i dont know whats holding back our foreign business-men from investing? They been guaranteed islamic principles, safety, etc which is usually their concerns. I don't know maybe we need to set up national insurance company to safeguard investors assets what u think bro? We can combine our assets in puntland and use that as collateral to investors who wish to invest into puntland and promise them if anything happens to there assets the insurance company will pay them out.

I know we can't take out loans and stuff but we got that donkey sharif guy who is our poster boy we can also use him to get what we want for our state. We secured the navy and $250 million funding that it will recieve. We secured the police academy in carmo. Maybe we should get that zulu looking fuck to start getting loans out from the IMF to invest into puntland developmental goals. Obama wasnt hinting at investing into the peaceful places of somalia so other somalis can start seeing peace does pay off sort of bullshit. But I honestly dont think we should just sit there and rely upon obama and his promises.

We got 3 options that we can look at.

1. Set up national insurance company for puntland to guarantee safeguarding investor assets
2. Getting Sharif To get loans out from the imf to advance puntland. We can tell sharif that he can say "peaceful areas deserve hormar" and thats understandable and noone will raise an eyebrow and wonder if puntland is doing some dirty.
3. Tell obama to switch his policies from hamar to puntland. He was talking about the other day at the africa day conference that he will reward governments who have set up systems and taken clan/tribal structures into account. He was clearly mentioning puntland cause we set up federalism under abdullahi yusuf to address this tribal/clan structures plus to make matters more sweet he cant be talking about somaliland cause they use colonial policies and as of today are even occupying las anod using colonial policies to justify their occupation and not "respecting tribal/clan" structures. So he wasnt talking about those mafias in the west. But he meant us and we need to start taking advantage of obama switch of policies. Call sharmarke and tell him to get meeting set up between the tfg and puntland to discuss how obama policies should shift straight to garowe. 8-)

Paidmonk on the water infrastructure end of things things seem to picking up.

Well being dugg in yubbe sanaag

Pipe system water completed recently in a town near qardho.

If you read the sign carefully you will see it says "location: Qardho"

Bossaso set up 7km extension pipeline in bossaso for the idps. It will expect to service an extra 87000 users plus water connections to the house are being done for the idps.

Image
On a nearby hillside stood a brand new 1,000 cubic metre water tank, along with a seven km pipeline. The extension to the town’s water system connects an additional 87,000 people, or 65 percent of the town’s population, to a safe drinking water supply.

The water system is maintained through an innovative partnership, in which local authorities, the community and the private sector all work together. A water board provides management of the water system. It also establishes affordable water rates, adds household connections, and ensures that water collection points are operated and maintained efficiently. Water is free to public institutions such as schools, hospitals and mosques.
Verification: http://www.unicef.org/infobycountry/somalia_53647.html

Plus Video Below of the project. Plus they also admit that "bosaso is the busiest port in somalia" in their introduction of the city.

Bus Stop Routes Completed In Garowe

Bus Stop Routes Completed IN Galkayo

Galdogob folks have finished their libray project

They are setting up district councils as we speak. So things look ok for them. They have the basic outlets. Primary/High School, Hospital, Library, District Council, Water/Sanitation facilities. I think their next goal will be university and more rural based sort of projects.

On the las anod end of thing a new hospital was built there by the donor manhal the garowe branch Mohamed Hassan Issa

Plus their is biyo xireen similar to the one in bandar ziyada being created in karkaar and nugaal.

I'll hit u up on whats happening on the education and road side of thing in my next post. Puntland All Day Every Day

This is what tadamun ngo has planned for puntland. Some of it already has been done but some are still underway
Image

Puntland Highway Authority(NESHA)
Image

This the road rabaable thats been completed by nesha puntland highway authority
Image

They are currently also doing the garowe-galkayo road maintanance
dayactir Balaaran Oo Ku Socda Wadada U Dhaxeysa Magaalooyinka Garowe & Gaalkacyo.
Gaalkacyo: Japan oo dhisaysa wadada isku xirta Gaalkacyo iyo Garowe
This the new road that was completed for one of the degaans in garowe. It was done by the nugaal woman diaspora organization
Image

Plus theirs a road being constructed in xarfo-mudug connecting it to the main galkayo-garowe-bossaso tarmac road. There is also 1 being done in dangarayo connecting them to the tarmac road. Kind of similar if u remember to the hafun road project where they got themselves connected onto the tarmac road. Similar to the lafa-goray road project that was done for caluula/qandala areas.

So theirs definitely massive road projects happening. But still a few more need to be done. Especially with areas like bayla/gara'ad/eyl and getting those towns connected to the tarmac road. The road that was being planned for bosaso to erigavo god knows where the fuck that went

Puntland needs to get that road to erigavo and bosaso done because there is so much trade that happens between the two cities plus erigavo is our carpet sewing town we always get our household ruggs from there. As for cayn theirs been no road projects there except a few wells that were done and educational reforms making primary/secondary schools use puntland state curriculum like all other students in puntland.

The makhiris are setting up that university at last so there is progress there, they have also a few new secondary schools opening up and also the usual rural projects like wells/barkads and stuff are happening there.

As for the education end of things puntland high school certificates are now recognized in sudan making it the second country after ethiopia to accept puntland high school certificates into getting inside ethiopian/sudanese universities for our prospective student.

Inshallah I hope juxa the puntland minister of education keeps attracting other country universities into accepting puntland high school certificates for admission of our students. Our education curriculum is probably the best in the nation and thats why other countries accept our high school student qualification papers but nowhere else in somalia

Theres also secondary schools that was opened up for dangarayo nugaal. The State government buildings are pretty much all completed now. Just got the parliament to wait for.

But things are looking great. I will post a picture of the road network of puntland 2010.

We have a pm in hamar, second in charge of shabab in fuad shangole, we have puntland 1/3 of somalia that is peaceful and prospering and a rosy future to look forward to. We have the hawiyes killing each other, the idors isolated and everything being funnelled to us to set us up as the powerhouse clan of all somalia not bad huh

Galkayo Puntland State University campus recieving excellent new curriculum set up.

Plus not to mention that galkayo is having a new university and library hall being built so it will be like 2 universities.

the galkayo university (GU) will open up 10 October 2010 plus also shows the skyline of galkayo 2008 at the 00:47 to 00:55 mark. not doing bad all it will be interesting to see galkayo 2010 today

Ps: That will make puntland have 2 universities in galkayo(GU/PSU). 2 university in garowe(PSU/EAU). 2 universities in bossaso(EAU/mogadishu university) not to forget las anod(nugaal university) and the new badhan university that is also being constructed. In total 8 universities and believe me im certain the galdogob/qardho folks will get jealous and build one too.

Plus the Bosaso College I would say is a university campus in it's own right. Its f-king huge
