Only $300,000 that is good discount, Usually pirates demand millions,

BTW…. Last year Somaliland seized plane carrying military equipments for Puntland government worth over one million dollars as the media reported,

So if I do the math right pirates need to capture two more Somaliland ships in order Puntlnad to get its full reimbursement

actually it is right, I don't think Puntland expected Somaliland to smuggle its stuff across the border, obviously that would implicate Somaliland and stay in the way of independence. well done Sahan for pointing that out.

"It took almost a month of negotiations by a committee of seven people ... and a down payment of $250,000 ransom, for the pirates to release the ship. The ship is expected to arrive at Berbera port in the next few days," he said.

The payment of a ransom could not immediately be verified - Osman said the authorities in Somaliland had a policy of not paying ransoms.

That plane voluntarily landed In Sl, just like the plane-load of IDPs rejected by Pl were forced to land in Hargeisa, genius. The ship was forced by Galmudug authorities to Pl waters where even the goods on board were stolen

Lol, what exactly is amusing about looting a few businessmen's property off the high-seas? Its shameful the whole of the Pl administration is implicated in this according to foreign reports and that both Garowe and Galkacyo have benefited from piracy  This is why it won't go down, unless there are genuine efforts to stop gaajo from spilling into the seas :?

In any case, AUN to the Galmudugian who died in the confrontation and may the other 2 injured ones have a speedy recovery, brave men
