Dismantling of the SSDF rebels and suppression of other rebel movements was absolutely necessary for National Security :somalia:

Barre was incompetent leader, we would have easily won the war if we had better leadership.

But there were political and military reasons which explain why Barre was defeated in 1978.

I would like to know those reasons.

An interesting article:

Finally, we have to admit that Somalia lost a war against a Nuclear Superpower and its satellites.

"The enterprising Somali population, a beautiful race descended from Arabs and North Africans were quick to turn this aid into progress. Although mostly nomadic, they were good at business and adapting to new ways."

Not when 'National Security' benefits only a few.
In your words, the measures the regime took in the North at that time is justified and yet you claim numerous times that the current TFG administration is corrupt and kills innocent civilians.

It's easy to blame others and point your fingers at them when they don't share the same lineage but proves to be more difficult when they are part of your extended family tree.

You hypocrites need to learn the basics of calling a Spade a Spade.
