The people of Puntland are not the same quality as those conquered by Al-shabab in the south, PL entity is waay to advanced and organized for these rag-tag militia.

They will all be in flames at the gates of PL, this time around for their own sake they should stop while ahead and focus their attention on the shambles that is the south or else face complete annihilation, to much greed has destroyed many forces before and Al-shabab is not an exception.

The question is in incorrect format. Please re-formulate this time signifying which entity is in the dominant position.

You are right. It took Al Shabaab a year to do underground peaceful dacwo in Gedo whereas Puntland will fall a little bit less quickly then Burco.

Burco is the home of Al Itihad and with the recent political problems, I think it just might be the "strong variation" no one is controlling for in these discussions. It might actually not be a south to north move as opposed to north-central to north-east and north-west move.

This is my prediction.

AL Shabaab this hour controls THE WHOLE SOUTH. They are in Jowhar and the next biggest town on the map is Beled-Weyne, where they are half the control there.

If they consolidate control over the road from Jowhar to Beledweyne, they pretty much own Somalia.

From their they will push straight to Gaalkacyo. Once Gaalkacyo falls, it is a WATERSHED moment. They will just walk to Garowe and from Garowe I will predict they will go to Laas Caanood first. Once in Laas Caanood I think half will go towards Burco which is by that time already in the hands of the mobilized Ikhwanul Muslimeen. From Las Caanood the other half will head towards Qardho and Boosaaso which will give themselves up seeing they only have the sea if they choose to resist.

From Burco I believe, the Al Shabaab section and the Ikhawanul Muslimeen will give a chance to all the reer Waqooyi Islamists to join their side of the battle and from there I predict they will march towards Berbera. From Berbera, which is a symbolic victory, Hargeisa will either give itself or easily be taken over.

It is in his interest because he sees Puntland as the big ogre that is supposed to be the first line of defense for Somaliland.

If Adde Muse was still on Power, I'd be worried, but Faroole has worked hard since he took the office and paid the Darwish army and did a marvelous job in recruiting New darwish forces. Once they we hear their advancement, we would do like how us and sacads did in defeating the more powerful the ICU and simply confront them in caddado(that's if they make that far)
