The US support for any viable Somali-State in anywhere around the horn of Africa is questionable let alone Somaliland
First the proof is there to whom this concern, Mogadishu and Southern Somalia have had witnessed a relative clam under the rule of ISU Islamic Court Union when all of sudden usual unilateral action of the US through Ethiopia destroyed the ISU and pave the way for occupation of Ethiopia, in along term interest of the US policies to under mind stability of Somalia and the whole region, after imminent collapse the ICU the plan was already in place for the implementation of US policy to avoid re-grouping of ICU just like Taliban, they have to divide the organization so the current presided of Somalia was labeled as moderate Islamist leader and he was given re-assurance that the Ethiopian military withdrawal for him to secede from his organization ICU and become their appointed president of weak Somalia and the objective is reached when the his however created internal conflict to continue between former ICU now Al-Sabab and Hisbul-Islam the blood-shed continues with ready group to blame, I don't think that the finger pointing to anyone is at this time right undoubtedly it was a sad day for all Somalis as it has been every day for past twenty years If we look back the history, this is an organized crime and well planned beyond its borders it has been there way before Al-Shabab and any other group that is fighting today came into existence its way older than that if you look back the sequence that the events occurred, First it was the Journalist, than the religious leader (The Imams), and finally the intellectuals where it is going end and who is behind this long term plans it will be unveiled one day hopefully. Now-a-days the US seems to tune down terrorist propaganda toward Al-Shabab calling them these days opposition group after what? After creating his self-full-filling prophecy of so called war-on-terror when the US deliberately distroyed the SCU
