I don't understand why you are so adamant in pulling these people back into Somalia. I support the triangle's secession it benefits Somalia more than it benefits them. They will burden us and have nothing to offer but Hargeisa, which other Somalia cities can bypass in decades. Let them leave it will become another glorified truckstop like Djibouti and I don't care.
Awwwww are you having tantwum? Do you want an ice-cream?

The 50/50 argument/case is hardly 50/50.
This would allocate 50% of the country’s power to a single clan.
I say this because, majority of the tribes/clans settle the south and at that the populous ones. It would mean they would have to share 50% of the power/decision and policy making of the country. As if this wasn’t insult enough, parts of Somaliland namely (ssc, khatumo, awdal) who harbor and have the same view points of those in the south would also have to share that same 50%. So logically speaking this would not be accepted. .
Exactly my thought.

4.5-political system only operates in 50% of the former republic and as such that will not be the discussion point of a meeting of TWO states. Each is going to the teble with their own political system.

 We should encourage and support the meeting to take place rather then worry about the details.

1960 - 2 states joined and the meeting will discuss their future relations!

Simple.

Granpakhalif is another hurt dooro individual. I could dig up many of his posts where we was begging Somalilanders right here , from " my uncle has bought a piece of land in Hargeysa where he plans to build a hotel" to " can I be included in the hashemi somali state of somaliland , i have been told by a guy at the mosque that I also was arab" to ....

Anyway , the United States of America cannot on one hand be bombing Somalia and "officially" call for its partition , they just can't do it . We don't really care about what hillary Clinton says , 2012 belongs to this lady right here
