The Dharoor test-site was found successful to find oil in Puntland. What is the next step for Puntland, and Somalia. All in all, now that we have found what was known to be there, let us insha'allah be cautious and not end up like certain countries.

There are no pipelines or other important infrastructure in place yet, how are they going to export the oil? Also, Bosaso port is not a deep sea port and can not hold huge oil tankers.

Even though 2 billion barrels of oil in one block is nowhere near the estimated number, it is still enough to make our country one of the richest in africa.

All of Somalia stands to benefit from oil in Somalia. There has never been doubt that there was Oil in Somalia from Puntland to Waqooyi Galbeen to Koonfurt, to Ogadenia, but it was about the risk of extracting it without the proper security. Even know there is no shortage of security at this drill site.

We're not talking about Gedo, we're talking about Puntland. The people of Puntland are corrupt as it is, what do you think will happen if they get their hands on billions in oil dollars? Indeed Dubai will start looking like a city of virtue. They should be content with what Allah has given them...which is being shepherds....do you know all the prophets were shepherds? There is not a profession better and more pure.
