Salah,

The youth have been radicalized and drawn to jihaad in Konfur. Now that they are sneaking back home will Somaliland go way of Pakistan which for years coddled the Taliban.

Time will tell but the dooros are coming home to roost.

Salah,

Its merely presenting facts. The Issaq jihadis are going home. The Harti ones have already been back for a while and have stepped operations against Faroole & Co.

they have public opinion against them, this is why they sneak into and stay in the dark corners.
If you have a breakdown of order or another civil war then they will come to the surface..
Or if there is increased corruption and injustice and they use this to form an opposition that will gain support.

but right now qabiil and nationalism is keeping them at bay,

if Somaliland as an independent state is threatened, people will turn to the jihadis.

and the somaliland authorities are keeping them under surveilance and cannot have summary arrests due to the qabiil factor.
so its a standoff, with the jihadis in an inferior position right now..

only allah knows the future.

Burco is in Somaliland . If my brother becomes a terrorist I will kill him before anybody else does . If for some reason like mr Gurey seems to indicate nobody from the terrorist's clan wants to do it , we will find somebody from another clan to do the job , believe me , we are of many clan and subclans all of whom having one clear position on this .
In Somaliland we try to keep it as Somali as it used to be .
The religious people are a class and the warriors another , none of which eat "hyena meat "
Get out of here dooro !

"My feelings - as usual - we will slaughter them all"
"Our initial assessment is that they will all die"
"I blame Al-Shabab - they are marketing for the SNM "
"God will roast their stomachs in hell at the hands of Al-Shabab"
"They're coming to surrender or be burned in their technicals."
"I can say, and I am responsible for what I am saying, that SNM have
started to commit suicide under the walls of Hargeisa. We
will encourage them to commit more suicides quickly."
