Like the saying goes a beggar has no choice. Somalia needs these people more than they need us and honestly speaking, the president is not in a position to make demands not to mention the power to pick and choose African peace keepers.I heard the President spokesman denied this. The reality is the President cannot really say this, as He'd come across as a terrorist sympathizer who is salty He cannot have his way over jubooyinka. The most He can do is to arrange more non kenyan/ethiopian amisom to go to Kismayo and then get kenya/ethiopia removed from amisom.
Why cant he negotiate with the jubbaland leaders? He can easily bring them unde his command and together they would estbalish army strong enough to keep AS hiding in the bushes after the peace keepers leave.
But to make an ignorant demand such as asking the only people standing between you and AS to leave is a sign of political immaturity.
Now the president has not accomplished much in terms of security. Shouldnt his focus be to establish a respectable national army, well trained and well equipped so he can tell kenya and amison hey I can handle AS now, gtfo!
But he hasnt that and the IC is not stupid because they will ask the question, if we remove kenya and ethiopia how will you protect the people against AS? They dont want a terrorist influence in the horn, and the sooner Mr. President puts all this together the better.
