Abakar/somaliman is right, the islamic courts were back then the regime and they attended the event.
I would just add that hassan sheekh was back then close and working with dam jadeed group who got splitted from al islax for two reasons; the guy who won their election wasn't the typical clan that dominates this jamaaca so they refused to accept the result the rejected ones have founded their own dam jadeed also the clan of farax cabdulqadir has splitted from the clan of al islax and joined 4.5 and he was their mp so he splitted too from al islax and lead the marginalized ones with laandheer background because he had the financial keys as the head of kuwait based al islax muslimi ifriqiya(african muslim agency)
A second split has taken place in al islax during the ethiopian accupation as al islax was part of the tfg, cabdikariim guleed who was a member of al islah executive office back then was fired because of his support for the resistance and his group has joined the rest of dam jadeed. In otherwords dam jadeed were close to the islamic courts politically and socially.
This was in sudan it was organized by dam jadeed.
