Absolutely no discussions or agreements about airspace should be considered. We are talking about how the two governments can come together, not on air/land/sea demarcation. Frankly the SFG's recognizes that there is an entity within the Somali republic, they also recognize that they must talk and cooperate with this entity to form some kind cohesive state, but they do not recognize their claim to sovereignty. Any talks of demarcation must first be preceded by recognizing sovereignty, and simply we are not there yet.
That's basically the situation.
This issue will be dealt with, its not moqadishu's choice, and it cannot run away from this.
We let this issue sleep when the airsapace was controlled from nairobi by the UN.
But the UN just handed over control to somalia without taking us into consideration and they have been given the boot.
UN officials now have to apply for a visa before stepping on Somaliland soil, and no UN chartered planes can land anymore.
They have to come on commercial flights.
It is in the UN's interest to resolve this, somaliland has been too nice, and siilanyo too soft on this issue.

The talks are not about how we can come together, its about agreeing to talk, and to cooperate about mutual interests.

This is what the talks next week will be about, and the next talks in london will fail, and this will then require mediation not facilitation.
This is when the real negotiations will start.

Will the talks after the next week talks held in London?

I haven't heard about this
The airspace issue will be resolved in the next week meeting
The talks will indeed be very interesting when international mediators join the negotiation table , other than that it will be based on mutual interests cooperation on some key sectors.

See this is what annoys me. Why didnt Silyanyo asked UN in Nairobi to hand over control of 'their' airspace before it was handed over to the culusows administration. See this type of bitch movement annoys me. Its literally childish. I hope they exchange blows at the 'talks' infront of their new master oppressor Erdogan.

What can somaliland do in order to prevent UN flight using 'their' airspace?........nothing.. its not like they can send fighter jets after the planes and force them to land. do they even have radars that can track flights and determine where these flights are going? .in fact if they behave in a threatening manner toward UN flights then the UN will send a few jets their way and also cut the peanuts for aids they give them.

why should you get annoyed over a country that doesnt concern you?
and what can we do?
do you confuse us with moqadishu? the UN does not run the country, we do.
If they land without authorization they will get arrested.
simple as that.
and we have been treating the UN like shit since 1992, President cigaal even had a shouting match with the UN representative and threatened to arrest him if he doesnt get out of the country immediately.
Siilanyo let mahiga seduce him briefly, but alxamdulilah, he is treating the UN like the bitches that they are,
the more a pimp slaps his bitches around the more they love him.

and this love is mutual, the UN hates Somaliland more than darood, more than khatumo.
its mutual contempt.
but ask yourself why there is continued cooperation between us?
Its because the UN has been ordered to work with somaliand, and we have been told to play nice with them.

Whatever happens on somaliweyn soil concerns me. you really are just talking out of your backside. the un will come and arrest silanyo themselves if he threatens their workers.or they'll simply just arrest him on his way to london for his regular kidney treatment. they can even arm an opposition and funding their campaign against silanyo administration. they could snake him (assasination). look point am making is this. The UN have their pinky finger wrapped around all somali governments. right now this Silanyo is behaving like he is kim jong un when in fact he is just some powerless puppet who will bark when ordered to do so!!!!!!

The reality is, a country's airspace and territorial waters are matters of international law. And international law stipulates that both are under the jurisdiction of the Somali Federal Government.

Silanyo's administration doesn't have to appreciate this. But if his colleagues take their fight too far, make no mistake, they will eventually face sanctions as spoilers against the Somali peace process.

This is what these delusional snetters are trying to blur by repeating the same rhetoric about co-operation. If "air space" is discussed, it will give their republic a sense of reality.
