Somalia is not really a poor country (Frozen assets)

Postby BuuloXubeey » Tue Sep 17, 2013 7:46 pm

Somalia is not really a poor country. There are millions of Dollars worth of Gold belonging to the previous Somali government (Kacaan) that is frozen in the Unite States. There is other Millions of Dollars of money that has been frozen in swiss banks. There are some other wealth in other countries that were friends of Somalia such as China etc. There are some navy ships and military planes in Germany belonging to Somalia. (though technology has advanced in the last 20 yrs) I remember early this year the foreign minister Fowsiyo and the Finance minister were travelling to many countries trying their best to reclaim those assets including buildings belonging to Somalia such as embassies in foreign countries. They have employed a financial/law firm that is helping them reclaim these assets. So far this activity has slowed down, and no news has been developed since early this year.
