Farole vs Reer Mudug

Post by BigBreak »

Apparently Faroole was threatened by Reer Mudug before the January 2014 governorship selection :lupe:
Inkastoo ay jiraan siyasado isdiidan oo ku aadan xaalada Gobalka Mudug hadana wararka hoose waxay sheegayaan madaxwayne Gaas xiligii lagu jiray olalaha doorashada inuu go'aan ku qaatay isaga iyo Odayaal Mudug kasoo jeeda in Gobalka Mudug lagu daro Galgaduud haddii uu doorashada ku guulaysto madaxwaynihii hore ee Puntland oo doorashadii looga adkaaday hal cod oo kaliya.

i believe that had farole remained in power then northern mudug would have broken away from the rest of puntland and possibly unite with southern mudug and even other regions further down. this possibility has been averted for now as gaas is in office.

i heard that the national govt of somalia in mog is looking to completely change the federal system by just making it 13 regions and no region merges with another region after the constitution is amended, making it a centralised federal governorship system with a very strong central govt

this is good news for hiiraan for example

Interesting but this article could come across as Faroole being a sore loser while on the other hand tho for those who don't know there was an agreement made around late 2011 between the ex Galmudug prez aalin and Gaas about Mudug.

I can't seem to find this agreement but there is a saying that this central state was given birth on that day.

Very informative thread but this site is owned by farooles crew

If the northen mudug clans join the central state it will weaken puntland

Gaas is a good politician but this conpiracy seems predates him, was set up by guleed who wanted his subclan to lead a federal state.

If that's the case then why the 360 degrees turn around of Gaaz now?

sahal do you think the current constitutional requirement that the two or more pre 1991 regions merge will be changed to each region shall be on their own? this could be important as it is very hard for regions to merge with each other to make states

I believe this federalism stuff is a short run phenomenon(zahira moaqata) not a strategical option because the US is against it now and is telling the EU( who think its a quick solution to get rid of al shabaab) that this will create instabilty.

As for IGAD they are supporting as their buffer zones but once more westren countries involve it will disappear

IGAD innvolving in somalia only reflects the political level of somalia.

Now, as for the current option, the EU, UN are backing this 2.5 formula wich says certain clan must get two states like the other one, thus, mudug was given to them

Baydhabo is kinda .5

Even if more groups join it will be based on a new similar formula bc of the upper parliament and

As for SSC, sanaag will stay in SL bc of ceerigaabe being its capital

Sool(taleex) is now considered as different political group, US is against SLs presence in there bc of the instability in there.

But sool, in the future, has to join somewhere on her choice.

sahal let me tell you sool will forever be part of an independent somaliland as somaliland today has the same borders as her predecessor the british somaliland protectorate hence why our borders are indivisible.

the us is not against somaliland's borders or independence as seen in october 2007 when they welcomed somaliland's capture of las anod. today somaliland control's 99% of our territory within our (british drawn) borders and as such we are considered de facto separate by the world since they know our people's rejection of a reunion is a fait accompli

continue your good analytical work mudane sahal
