IGAD joins UN and EU; essentially says PM here to stay.

Postby The`Republic » Wed Nov 05, 2014 2:09 pm

Affey was sent to broker a compromise between the two. It is telling he says the Speaker of Parliament shares the view the President and PM must reach a conclusion together

Yet just like Sahal's yesterday's mythical million man protest in Mog against Kay or his prophecy a motion would be submitted with 150 MPs...the reality goes on

It's looking more and more like Dam Jadiid tried to pick a fight with the wrong guy

If this man is supported by the UN and IGad, take it as a sign that this guy is corrupt and not good for Somalia. Them supporting him says a lot about his ways, they have recognised a corrupt man who will prolong Somali's recovery, they want to hold on to him dearly. They are already familiar with Hassan and they see him as a threat. Once you start using outsiders to seek legitimacy, worst of all, seeking a rubber stamp from countries who's very interest are hostile that that of Somalia then know you have intellectually failed. They're interference might benefit some today in the short run to keep the pm in his place, but its bad for somalia over the long term.

Says the supporter of a corrupt president.

Listen there is no proof in any form that Abdiweli is corrupt, infact he refused to pay bribes as in the president case he owns his own seat to bribes and got rid of the former pm thanks to bribes and there is videos where MPs admiting of taking bribes from the president. His involvement with the con artist Sharif saakiin is aswell wellknown fact. The somali people deserve better and you are right Hassan is a threat. He is a threat to Somalia and its progress; we cant afford it.

The Republic,

What I really love about this whole situation is How the President's attempt to misuse Donar funds meant for IDP's, Drought Relief, Reconstruction and instead use it to buy out mps for a motion has been exposed. This Has completely shattered and destoryed Dam Jadiid's reputation as kids who should not be trusted with International legitimacy. They'll probably play out the string until 2016, but by then its a wrap their political careers will be done for good. Kudos to the Int'l Community for demanding accountability from the ones who beg them and kudos to the PM's camp for bringing this to light. The President, Dam Jadiid, etc. their entire livelihoods is probably based on trying to milk whatever they can administering a war torn Country for a couple years. The PM was very financially secure before this and I'm sure will have even more opportunities later.

Bassto that's because the PM IS the government and so the constitution is riddled with all these checks and balances that parliament can hold him accountable.

In parliamentary democracies like ours, the head of state whether a Queen, our President, or Canada and Australia's governor generals are symbolic an and the constitution doesn't give them attention unless for things like insult against the nation.

The one with the most powers in our constitution is the one most checked.

It's just we have a head of state who can't accept how powerless he is under the constitution and when he can't get what he wants from the PM wants to bribe parliament to check him.

Did you honestly believe, even before this whole charade started, that the Somali government wasn't corrupt?

Corruption will allways be relevant to a certain degree but there is difference even in corruption. The kind of corruption practiced in villa somalia is system threatning.

Amazed with the sheer tenacity often displayed by these kids in support for their klansmen! One cannot help but wish these Faaraxs found some worthier causes( hopefully one that would benefit the Skinnies as a whole) upon which to expend these excess energies.

Lol I love how voltage involves me in his threads

He wants to get some assurance!

No mate the motion is already in the parliament and jawari has said he can't be against sharci!

No IGAD is not with yuulka!

Pls use your brain instead of talking from your heart!

Afeey is a kenyan and he met some EU diplomats in nairobi to mediate between the two

He listened all of them without pressure and with full respect

Jawari has said(like always) he will support to reach a solution(but meantime he's receiving the motion)

In reality ethiopia and kenya r waiting for a new pm

Apparently you got small horizon and can't tell the different between him at his job or his personal wishes!

Anyways afeey has failed to reach to get them together and he went back to nairobi to give these diplomats his findings

Afeey has told the pm one thing: to take back his reshuffle and that is not being with him!

Its the parliament and the real battle starts tomorrow!

Yuulks only hope is the parliament

Keep dreaming though!

President is in in talks with the folks of the new pm!!
