I keep reading about meetings such as this but thats about it.
Whats the reason of these meetings if they aren't benefiting us?

Wali ma'arkin wax qabadyada ay qabtaan shirarka badankood.

This is the thing Somalis don't understand. They think tribes could unite and function as real Governments When they can't. Every clan in Somalia Has these clan meetings with 100,000 budgets trying to liason as Government expendeture. They can keep having these meetings and they won't be able to do anything meaningful on the ground. Now if there is a serious meeting within Somalia in Marexaan land then thats something else, but dibadaha not much can be done When the whole Country is Lawless. Basically Somalia will continue to be screwed until there is a Gov.

This one wasn't just another meeting. It was a fundraising one for Garbahareey airport and other stuff. Abdi Guled (reer Siyaad) who was one of Abdiqasim's ministers came to Seattle for that.

He is the guy in the middle, the guy on his left with the glasses is Abdiqadir Jangeli (Celi) an economist who was Somali central bank governor in the past and the other guy is Col Maxamuud Samatar (Reer Siyaad Xussein) was SNF spokesman in the 90's
