lol, naming airports after Presidents/PMs is isku dayasho?

It's a pretty standard practice around the world, let alone Somalia (Egal airport, Aadan Cadde airport etc.)

Based: I am not bothered by the idea at all. In fact, it would be an honor for Kismaayo airport to be named after our late president but you have to admit, the timing of the proposal was wrong. I sense a bit of isku dayo sxb.

We have inspired a nation. :som:

Not more than a year ago Somalia was face down in the mud and no one thought it would be possible for us to move on as a people. Then we showed them how. Then they doubted us. Then we took a step. Then they watched. Then they followed. And soon we will all prosper.

We must capitalize on our role as pioneers and continue to set the pace, and the rest of the nation will follow. :som:

I probably should have read your comment more carefully, I just read the Galkacyo airport renaming thread.

I assumed your comment was in the vein of the two comments above

I don't really get these people. The Isaaq named their man after the Hargeisa airport Cigaal Intrl, Mogadishu was named after the Hawiye pres Addan Cadde, I don't know about Gaalkacyo since it is refused by a section, but I think Kismaayo airport should be named after Siad Barre.

Kismaayo will be inshallah the richest and most prosperous Somali state, not to mention will be the tourist hub and the a sign of the country's vitality like Cape Town is to South Africa. The proposal I am putting forth says Kismaayo airport should be named after Siad Barre once Jubbaland is named. It will be something that does honor to the late president's legacy. To those who say it is copying...my answer is SO? AND?

Hargaysa is almost homogeneously isaaq justs as xamar is hawiye. However, kismaayo is the most diversified city in all of somalia. How could you compare the two to kismaayo?

Lol @ Xamar is "Hawiye" or that Kismaayo is more diverse than Xamar. Anyways, according to leaked US Diplomatic cables from the US embassy in Nairobi and US embassy in Addis Ababa, even the superpowers know who is majority in Kismaayo.

US Embassy Addis Ababa

US Embassy Nairobi (funny how that "coalition" did fail as the US intelligence hinted it would given the clan make up and we know what happened next Shabab got rid of all their other partners to bring in the Marehan into a governing alliance of convenience  )

Even during Shabab

Kismaayo airport's name will come from the administration set up of which the majority will have priority say, besides I really don't think the Ogaden would be opposed to it anyways. The few ones with cuqdad on this site I have never seen among Ogaden. Majority of them I have come into contact with are pro-Siad.

Voltage: one question sxb; Are you from Kismaayo? I am from kismaayo and I know how it's or at least was when I last left. if you were from there you'd know that it's really diverse. All clans settle there and yes of course some more than others.

I never said Kismaayo is not diverse. I said Kismaayo is not as diverse as Xamar. I also never said others do not live there but objective intelligence does indicate Sade are and will be predominant in Kismaayo and throughout the greater Jubbaland State that will name such things as airports.
