Personally i'd put the UK figure a tad higher than 250k. Firstly in my experience in London a lot of somalis moved from other european countries post 2000, which significantly increased the number of somalis here. Also ontop of that there was already established communities in East London, Cardiff, Bristol, Liverpool etc.

Statistics like this hurt to be honest, were worst then the yahuud. Shame we've been forced and dispersed around the globe.

That is a f.ucking lie. Djibouti doesn't even have more than 600, 000 people of its own let alone that many qaxooti from Koonfur.

What does this have to do with secessionism? There is no reason for reer waqooyi to be in refugee camps in Djibouti. There is peace in their land and yes Somaliland takes care of its own.

Ninkii aan wadakiisu nabad ahayn ayaa xero qaxooti ku jira in Africa.

The 2001 census estimates that there are 44, 000 Somali-born residents in the UK. A 2003 report on Somalis in Hackney estimates that there are 95,000 Somalis in the country. The 2001 census estimated that there were 34,000 Somalis in London, while a 2003 report estimated that there were 70, 000 in the capital.

and thats ^ not even the whole of UK.

the BBc reports 0.08% of the British population was born in Somalia.

the Office for National Statistics estimated 101,000 in the UK in 2008.
